In 2022, CGC began the recognition of Multi-Pack Editions as announced at: https://www.cgccomics.com/news/article/10675/comics-newsstand-multipack/

Yoda said to Luke in the Empire Strikes Back: "Difficult to see - always in motion is the future."

In the case of Star Wars Multi-Pack Editions, one could perhaps say that BOTH the FUTURE and the PAST are difficult to see - and that BOTH continue to be in motion.

This is because several Multi-Pack Editions have what I consider to be MULTIPLE sub-variants with one another - that are still susceptible to new discoveries!

It is understood that Multi-Pack Editions were printed with altered covers and distributed in pre-sealed multi-packs of usually three comics. Most Multi-Pack Editions can be identified by having an upper diamond in their corner boxes and by having blank boxes where UPC symbols would normally be located.

However, there are notable exceptions - because some Multi-Pack Editions have UPC symbols and some say "REPRINT" or have different prices for earlier issues. This indicates that there were sometimes multiple printings of certain Multi-Pack Editions.
