Giant Man is barely hanging on (in more ways than one) as he's nearing the end of his run in this title. Having gone from the first superhero in the title as Ant-Man, first as a civilian in issue #27, then as a costumed hero in issue #35, to becoming Giant Man in issue #49, then getting a new, redesigned costume with issue #65 ... until by issue #70, he was gone. GONE!!! What? Yup, Subby took over for him and we had to catch up with him in the Avengers title. This high-grade pedigree copy is not only the highest graded, but the only graded copy.

This attractive upper mid-grade copy marks the end of Hank Pym's run in this title. A character that I've always enjoyed, I guess he found it more difficult than most finding his way in Marvel's Silver Age. At least he was replaced with an excellent and long overdue feature ... Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner! If you guessed that this copy was the highest and only graded, well you're spot on!

For someone who quit the Avengers at the end of issue #2, the Incredible Hulk sure manages to make a lot of cover appearances in the first 20 issues!!! This high-grade copy is not only the highest graded copy, but it's the ONLY graded copy as of this writing (6/30/22)!!!

At long last, finally, in his own feature ... Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner!!! Jack Kirby gives Namor a great launch with a dynamic cover, featured in two thirds of the cover image! This issue has been heating up with the prospect of Namor appearing soon in the MCU! This high-grade copy is the highest and only copy graded.

Avengers' issues past issue 15 just have a different feel to them, once most of the more powerful members step aside for a while. This upper mid-grade copy is not only the highest graded copy, but also the only copy CGC has graded to date (6/30/22).

Iron Man battling the Mandarin and Captain America squaring off against a Sumo! That IS a lot of enchantment for your 12c!!! This copy has an odd cover wrap but it's the only one I've had the opportunity to add to my collection! I guess that makes sense, being that this is the highest and only graded copy.

Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner looms large on what is essentially the full cover (with a tiny inset block with a pic of the Watcher and the Hulk in it). This is the highest and only graded copy.

The Iron Man story in this issue is continued from Tales of Suspense #80, where Iron Man and Subby get into it. It's a classic story that has been reprinted in a best-of Fireside book. This copy is also the highest and only graded.

The Avenger's title is interesting for several reasons, not the least of which is that we are treated to the evolution of Hank Pym as a superhero! By issue #32 here, he's been in his Goliath identity for a few issues, and one may wonder if that'll be the final incarnation for him. Um ... not really, but that's a story for another comic! Don Heck turns in an action-packed cover, showing that he can more than hold his own as a cover artist! Once again, this issue is the only graded copy, making it top of the heap in the census.
