Phillisburg Comic Con 5/10/25 Walt Simonson - Scooby Thor:
I have been wanting a Scooby version of Thor from Walt Simonson since at least 8 years by this point but I never made his cut off for getting a sketch. I had a plan for Phillipsburg Comic Con. I arrived almost two hours before the show opened and started the pre-Walt Simonson line. I kept having to reassure the kids running the show that I wasn't a vendor or artist but just waiting to form the Walt line. The ten or so people immediately me who showed about an hour after I did were there for Walt too. We came to a mutual agreement to walk as one in our order to Walt's table. There was one much older person probably around my dad's age however who arrived much later and BOLTED to Walt's table. He was a real piece of work and used Walt's table to organize his books and expected us to save his spot as he ran around dropping books off to get signed by other guests. Walt was about fifteen minutes late. The man also gave the kids such attitude when we were asked to please line up on a wall to avoid blocking the other vendors as we waited. Luckily he only wanted books signed and I got the first Walt sketch of the show. Walt even took a picture of it saying he did 1,000's of Thors in his career but never one quite like this. Thank you Jason from JJL Collectibles for facilitating.
