What a cover! Who needs Spidey when you've got a Goblin War happening?!?!?! Plus it's Doc Ock Spidey and not Peter, but also.... who are the goblins? Of course I picked this one up for the Hobgoblin appearance, but who's behind the cowl this time?
Roderick Kingsley is around and causing trouble, but this time instead of doing his own dirty work he's back to brainwashing again. This time it was actually his butler Claude! This would be Claude's first and only appearance as the Hobgoblin. There's a great quote in this one I snagged from Fandom's entry on this one:
"Hmm. Leave you in for five more minutes… …then on to phase two of the Winkler Process. Memories of combat training. Then we'll work on the voice. Have to get the voice right. I'm going to miss Claude. Fantastic manservant. He made a terrible Hobgoblin, but he made the best bouillabaisse. But some sacrifices have to be made. Just not self-sacrifices. Ah well.
