Set Description:
This is the run that got me back into comics. I remember moving to a suburb of Orlando, Florida in 2018 and walking into a place call 'A Comic Shop' looking for something to read. I went 2 times before not sure what to get. 3rd time I bought a Spider-Man trade paperback. It was a volume 7 or 8 by Dan Slott, so I really wasn't following the story all that well. The next time I went, Fantastic Four #1 was on the shelves and the Scottie Young variant with Mr. Fantastic was bagged and boarded on the shelf. Not knowing anything about comics, I thought it must be rare or valuable to be protected like that on the shelf. Plus the cover was different and it was the beginning. So I got it and went home. I read it twice that night and Fantastic Four has been the backbone of my collection ever since up until this past June (2025) when I made the decision to sell my silver age collection. Finances made the choice for me, it was a sad way to see all of those beautiful Jack Kirby covers go. But I decided that doing this run, would be very unique and special to me. All of my FF memories are traced to this run so the personal collection makes it that much sweeter. Starting this officially in July 2025. Lets see how long it takes to finish it up!
