Set Description:

It has been quite challenging to find books for this set in high grade. Not many of the books have a high census population.

I actually bought an Ironjaw #1 off the spinner racks, when these were first published. After I started collecting again a few years back, I decided to see if I could be the first person to get a complete CGC set of the Atlas-Seaboard comics.

After 4 years of searching, I "finally" found a (very) nice ungraded copy of Gothic Romances #1 this year to complete the set. When I sent it in to be graded, it received a grade of 9.6. Wow!!! what a way to complete the set !

The competition to stay in 1st place has become quite fierce. Twice in the last couple years, I've lost the lead only to charge back into 1st place just before the the Registry Awards were held.

I don't know how much longer I can hold off the competition, they could have a last minute surprise of their own this year (like maybe the CGC 9.8 copy of Gothic Romances #1 that's out there on the market now) , and knock me out of first place.

If that does happens, I'll be the first to congratulate them for their achievement. I'll then pick myself back up, dust myself off, and get back to work on finding higher graded editions for my set.

The challenge to continue to have the best Atlas-Seaboard set has made the collecting experience that much more fun and exciting!
