(CGC 9.8 SS Joshua Middleton - 'Josh' ) Ok guys, this is the first installment of the NYX wannabe series. It begins in Alphabet City, NY. Elizabeth Nixon is taking her daughter Kiden, son Ty and 2 baby twins to see their father at the NYPD. She tells Kiden that she forgot to get their father a cake for his birthday and she needs Kiden to keep him busy for a while. Tyler gets annoyed but Elizabeth manages to shut him up.
Arriving at the police station, Kiden is exstatic to see her father and says she wants to go to the park. Elizabeth, Ty and the twins leave and Kiden and her father go to get ice-cream at Ninos Store. Upon leaving her father says he knows the Elizabeth has gone to get him a cake. Kiden asks why but a driveby occurs and her father is shot. Kiden sits on the floor helpless.
We are taken about 10 years into the future. Kiden is now 16 and her life has completely fallen apart. Shes sitting on a toilet at an illegal rave and is about to drop ecstasy with her friend Kara. When she does they go out and party the night away. And so NYX begins....
The next morning is a school day and Kiden is in bed. Her alarm goes off and Elizabeth has a go at her. Since the death of her husband her life has fallen apart aswell. She has a go at Kiden and Kiden gets rude to her and walks off. When she gets to the kitchen Ty asks if they enjoyed the rave and Kiden isnt realy in the mood for talking to him either.
In the kitchen Elizabeth walks in and says to Kiden shes sorry and wishes they could sit down and talk normally. She walks off and Kiden goes through her mums bag to see if she has any cigerettes. She doesn't. So Kiden goes to Ninos store when she manages to frame a man for stealing so she herself can steal some cigarettes.
At about 9am she and Kara are in the school playground smoking while a boy named Hector and his gang bully a kid as he cant do sports. Kiden says about her mum wanting to do 'the talk' but Hector throws a ball at one of her breasts. They get in an argument and Kiden blows smoke in his face. He slpas her and she pulls his earring out making his face bleed.Their teacher, Cameron Palmer walks out and sends Kiden to the guidance counselor.
Upon returning to class Kara expresses her concern to Kiden about them getting killed by Hectors gang. Kiden tells Kara not to worry and they walk to their next class but, in the hallway they are ambushed by Hectors gang. Kara gets attacked and wets herself and really gets hurt while Kiden is floored, face bleeding. At the height of her emotional peak she screams "STOP IT!" and time stops. She doesnt understand what was going on but touches Hectors arm. It snaps and breaks.
Thats the story of NYX #1!
We are hoping CGC will begin raising the points on signed books for better competition against those who have CGC 9.9 or 10.0 books. Currently even if we were to get the last book signed it would not allow us to pass the current leader.

(CGC 9.8 Joshua Middleton - 'Josh') This issue starts in Camerron Palmers place. She is Kidens teacher and hasnt got much sleep because of the incident the day before with Kiden and the gang fight at school. She expresses her concern and suspects something happens as she said it was like somehing skipped (Kiden manipulating time).
Back at the NIxon apartment, Kiden is eating alphabet cereal and if you look closely they spell 'kill me'. Tyler starts going on about the incident yesterday but is interrupted when his mum finds a suspicious white powder in his room. Tyler says he can explain but Elizabeth is in no mood for it. She takes the powder and drops it down the toilet. Tyler attacks her but KIden screms saying she just wants the family to be normal for 5 minutes. She then walks to school.
At school Hectors arm is in a cast and hes not happy about it so he bribes a security guard to let him slip something in. Inside the principles office Kiden is asked if she is on drugs because of her behaviour but is eventually let go. Cameron goes after her. Kiden sees Kara and they go to their lesson but see Hector. He opens the package he snuck into school and inside it is.... a pistol.
Cameron finally sees Kiden but Hector fires the bullet. Kiden screams stop it and time stops. The bullet misses her. She touches the gun but it burns her finger, proving that she can feel things in her 'no time' dimension. She accidentally touches Hector and he falls over. Time is reset and the bullet hits someone.... Cameron Palmer.
We then go months into the future at Camerons place. Its a tip and she is now single. THe headmaster walks in and asks her to come back to work but she cant and asks where Kiden is, hinting that maybe kiden ran away or something. The headmaster cant answer and leaves, accidentally knocking over a photo frame. It shatters and makes a noise like a bullet being fired. Cam freaks and shouts at the man to leave.
Later that night someone walks into cameroons flat wearing a hoody to cover their face. They see and empty bottle of vicodin and freak out, immediately running to search for cameron. It is revealed to be Kiden. She finds Cameron in her tub which is half full with blood

(CGC 9.8 4X Signature Series Joshua Middleton - 'Josh') This issue starts in Hotel Brazil at night. X-23 is in bed masquerading as a prostitute. A man gets out of the bed and pays her, telling her that she will go far in the city. He puts on his shirt revealing massive scratch marks made by X-23.
Back at Cams apartment, Kiden has phoned an ambulance and they ask her questions about Cameron. Kiden replies only to ask if she can ride in the ambulance with Cam.
Down 34th street, X-23 stands in the rain, her eyeliner dripping down her face. A car pulls up and the window winds down. A mans face is shown. His name is Zebra Daddy. Back at the hospital, Cam wakes up and Kiden is full of life again.
At the Flatiron district, Zebra Daddy explains to X-23 how much he loves her. She doesn't reply but Zebra Daddy doesn't give her a chance to as he confronts her about emo cuts down her arm. He says she'll lose business if she keeps it up. Then he calls for a woman named Jade. He tells her a man wants to buy some drugs off her. She tells him she knows the man and he hurt her before. Daddy beats her up and tells her he only cares about the money, not her safety. X-23 slits her arm again.
Cameron is now back at her place and is eating soup with Kiden. She expresses her concern for Kidens mother and her temper flares. Kiden then says that she's a time controlling mutant and Cam says that just because she's been through a lot that doesnt make her a mutant. She then gets angry and tells Kiden if she isn't at her mums place by dawn shes calling the child welfare agency.
Over at hotel Brasil X-23 has just done business with the same man again. He tells her he's done some bad things in his life and reveals he is married. He pulls out a knife and stabs himself through the chest.
Kiden is asleep on Camerons sofa when an image of her father appears in her dream. He is shot, then gets up and says "Hotel Brasil, 202" Kiden wakes up screaming and writes down the name on a bit of paper. The ink sinks through a few sheets so when Cam gets up she goes after kiden.
Upon arrival Kiden and Cam see the man lying dead on the floor and X-23 on the bed, slitting her arms again. She says 'hi' to them and the issue ends.
We Own #3 Key books and like to see our 4X be worth at least 9.9 point value or else we may be stuck in 2nd place for ever.

(CGC 9.8 2X Signature Series Joshua Middleton - 'Josh') With a penchant for picking up strays, newcomer Tatiana picks up more than she bargained for when she manifests a striking mutant ability and catches the attention of Kiden's wayward gang. The cast of mutant outcasts grows in the next chapter of Quesada and Middleton's hometown homage to hot dogs, alley cats and misguided youth.
Spoilers
The issue starts outside a bakers shop. A girl finishes work and recieves a load of freshly baked bread for it. She then goes to the grocery and it is revealed that her name is Tatiana. She recieves some vegetables. The at Ferraras fish-shop she gets some fish but doesnt eat it as her family is all vegan. She then walks down the streets whistling and eventualy comes to an abandoned dump where a load of stray cats, dogs and birds live. They all come out and she feed them all with what she recieved from work.
Meanwhile, Kiden, Cam and X-23 are at a restaraunt and Kiden explains her powers and what happened when she ran away. She says she doesnt know how it happens but confesses that whenever she uses it, something bad happens. After the shooting of Cam she ran and lived on the streets and says about how she turned her powers off. She kept it n for a while though and met some homeless kids who watched eachothers backs. She lived with them and said she had never been happier.... until they decided to move on. And it got her thinking about her family.
She travelled back to alphabet city and saw her brother who said since she left their mum found a guy and htings have got better. Kiden decided it was a mistake going home and went back to the streets. Thats when she first saw her dead fathers ghost who told her to find Cam and save her.
Back at the Bronx Tatiana returns home and she has a heck load of pets. Her sister explains her mum has a new boyfriend who works a night-shift. As he hates animals when he walks in Tatianas prized pet- a parrot names Barretta attacked him. Tats mum had a go at her and the couple walked off.
Back at Cams pe, X-23 explains what happened when the man commit suicide. Suddenly Kiden starts going "nononono" and says she can see her father

(CGC 9.8 Signature Series Joshua Middleton - 'Josh') This issue starts way back when Cam and Kiden found the dead man in X-23s hotel room. A woman outside was actually an assosiate on Zebra Daddy, the man who X-23 worked for. She phoned him to say that X-23 killed him even though she didnt. The womans name is Tanya and she follows the girls round town to keep an eye on them.
Then we get to where the last issue left off, in Camerons apartment where Kiden saw her fathers ghost. He goes to her "get out---get out---- now." They gobut are ambushed bu Daddys gang. This is where X-23 reveals her claws for the first time to save Cam who was defenseless.They gt away just as Zeba Daddy arrives and he stabs tanya in the eye with a needle.
The next day in the Bronx Tatiana witnesses a dog run infront of a car. She makes it calm down and the driver offers his help. She takes it to the vet she volunteers at and gets blood over her hands.
Back with Kiden, X-23 and Cam Kiden is dumpster diving and finds an old burger and tells them its all there is. Then when she goes looking for something better she sees her fathers image again. He tells her to listen carefully...
At the Bronx vocational high school Tatiana apologizes for being late. A boy asks her how she got blood on her hands but she just tells him to shutup. Then suddenly something happens. She begins to see and smells things more and then threw up. When she looked up she had become a werewolf. Runnong from her ex-classmates.Kiden and the others are waiting down Gunhill road because her father said they would see something. They see tatiana running into an alleyway. She has to kill a cat to protect herself as she turns into a massive panther. Only X-23 has the guts to go and help her.
Tatiana comes up crying and saying "what have i done?"

(CGC 9.8 Blue Label & 9.6 Signature Series Joshua Middleton - 'Josh') This is the penultimate issue of the NYX wannabe series. A woman is in the shower and her phone goes off. Suddenly a teenage boy in astral form appears behind her and she passes out. He then returns to his body and answers the phone. It was Zebra Daddy asking for his help and revealing the boys name: Felon. Though the boy hangs up and tries to remember his real name: Bobby Soul. Whenever he uses his astral form he loses his memory.
Back on the streets of NY, Tatiana is going insane trying to swallow everything thats happened to her and says shed prefer to go home to her abusive mother then go through all this again.
Over at the Flatiron District, Zebra Daddy is with Bobby telling him how much he misses his 'boo' (X-23) and howhe'd give bobby the money to get a new place if he found her. Bobby accepts as he has a younger brother with a disability. He is handed a picture of her and leaves.
Returning to his flat in District X, Manhattan, Bobby feeds his younger brother (Lil Bro) and explains to him thet todays their lucky day. He says that when they get a new place they can get Lil Bro into a clinic and get him walking and talking and everything will be ok. He then says that he could nearly remember someone but is interrupted by a woman who knocks at the door. Its the babysitter. Bobby pays her and leaves.
Going out Bobby meets tanya who now has a massive patch over her eye. He asks her what she knows about the girls and X-23. She hands him an adress but says shes sorry she ever mentioned it. Bobby then heads to Cmas flat which is all sealed up and finds she isnt there. He then masquerades as a student at the school to find out stuff about her. He also sees Kara, Kidens old friend who is now a loner after what happened. He gets all the information he needs.
Back on the streets with the girls, Kiden asks Cam if shes okay and Cam says that no matter how much she tries to convince herself otherwise, she sees everything thats happened to her as Kidens fault and then says she can see why her mothers life is better now she left.
Back with Daddy he is on the phone to a man who gives him info on Kiden nixon. It is revealed to be Kidens older brother Ty. Bobby ppuches him in the face and knocks him out telling him thats what he rgets for being a crappy brother.
Back in his apartment, Bobby cant remember where he got a load of stuff from. Then suddenly he sees Kidens fathers ghost...

(CGC 9.8 Joshua Middleton - 'Josh') This is the final installment of the NYX wannabe series and what an ending!
It begins where issue 6 ended, in the apartment of Bobby Soul and Lil Bro. They see the ghost of Kiden Nixons father and he says that because of something bobby did 4 girls (Kiden, Catiana, X-23 and Cameron Palmer) are in grave danger.
Bobby has the ability to project out an astral form at the cost of his memory.
Then we go over to the Flatiron District and Zebra Daddys gang hideout. He is sniffing coke when a load of men walk in. He explains to them that their mission isnt about money or fame but about pride. He gives them a load of guns and announces that it was war.
Over in the Bronx Kiden, X-23, Cameron and Catiana are still living life on the streets. Catiana makes a big deal as she works out that her powers come from animal blood. Cameron walks over to Kiden who is drawing in an old notepad and apologizes for being horrible to her before. Kiden says it was ok but Cameron insists that some of whats happened is her fault.
Over at Camerons apartment, Zebra Daddys gang set up and ask people if theyve seen the four girls. If anyone said no they'de be beaten till they said something. Meanwhile Kiden sees her dead fathers ghost and he tells her to go to Camerons apartment and grab everything they'll need.
After a bit, the 4 girls get to Manhattan and Cameron gets rude to Catiana telling her if she doesnt like what their doing she should go home to her mum. Catiana decides to tag along as her mum was extremely abusive towards her. Over the road Kiden slips something into the post box.
Back at Kidens old house in Essex Street, Alphabet City, her mum is on the phone and the 2 twin brothers are playing. Tyler, Kidens older brother walks in with a black eye from his encounter with Bobby Soul in issue 6. Kidens mum (Elizabeth) new boyfriend walks in and says about how she cant believe shes moving house without Kiden.
Now, this is where the action begins. Back at Camerons apartment, Kiden, X-23 and Catiana wait as Cameron quickly sneaks into her apartment. When she goes in and turns on a light switch she is ambushed by one of Zebra Daddys men. Outside, Kiden says about how Cameron has taken too long and then her fathers ghost appears with Bobby. He says they should leave Cameron and go to Bobbys flat.Then they hear Cameron scream from her apartment and loads more of Zebra Daddys men appear and take away X-23 (Zebra daddys 'boo') but when she gets the chance, X-23 unleashes her claws and rips up Dadds hand. THen, as 2 men go to ambush her she slices them, even chopping one of their heads off. Then Catiana decides someone should save Cameron. She licks up some blood and transformed into a massive panther in human form.she climbed up the wall and just as Cameron falls though the window Catiana grabs her.
Back down on the floor Zebra Daddy grabs a machine gun and says something to X-23.
"Makes it tastier. Stuff legends are made of. Jus' like Romeo and Juliet. Love ya baby. Welcome to my legend."
THen he fires at X-23 before she can react. Kiden can only watch. Then she notices something. X-23 is like her father when he was shot, Kiden is sitting helpless like when her father was shot and Zebra Daddy looked the same as the person who shot him.
Kiden stares at him and whispers "you...." but her thought is broken when Catiana loses her grip of Cameron and Cameron falls. Kiden stops time and says to Daddy that if she punches him in this dimension as hard as she can he'll die. But instead she decides to save Cameron. When time goes normal again X-23 deals the finishing blow to Daddy.
The 4 girls go with Bobby Soul and Kiden says that if it doesnt work she has a contingency plan with the NY postal service. THey go and Kidens fathers ghost appears next to Bobbys lil bro in their apartment. He appears to be solid as he turns off a tv. Then he says that company will be over real soon and dissapears. As he dissapears though his face appears over Lil Bro. THen Lil Bro cries.
Back with Kidens mum and brothers, they move house just as the mail arrives and one of the letters there was from Kiden NIxon
