This nice looking CGC graded 9.8 copy of Detective Comics 481 was added to this set on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, and replaced a 9.6 CGC graded copy. As of the CGC Census of May 31, 2022, it was one of two 9.8 copies of this issue; the highest graded copies, followed by 7 copies in 9.6 and 14 copies in 9.4, including my 9.4 Don Rosa Collection copy ("Historical" note: "update: as of April 15, 2018, there is one CGC graded 9.8 copy of this issue).
"Whether a 9.8 copy is "out there," of course, remains to be seen; yes, there is as of April 15, 2018, one CGC graded 9.8 copy. Although I do not recall the exact number of original owner (oo) copies of this book that I own, I "guesstimate" it is at least four. However, not having looked at my oo books in almost twenty-five years, give or take, I do not recall whether any of my oo Tec 481 copies do not have the pervasive Tec 481 "problem." (13-3-19-199-8...)
Oh, and lest I forget, another fantastic cover and a wonderful group of stories in this issue.
"Keeper, until I locate a typical CGC graded 9.8 copy."
Issue Credits (as per the CGC Universal Label):
Denny O'Neil story
Marshall Rogers art
Issue Note (as per the CGC Universal Label):
"Don Rosa Collection"
The photographs of the front and back covers will be replaced with scans.

The gangs all here and considering the mess Batman finds himself in he will hopefully receive some assistance.
Detective Comics 482 has another one of those magnificent covers found in this run.
The CGC graded 9.8 copy of this issue reached this set on April 9 (8), 2014, and a hearty welcome it did receive.
Slam! Bam! Pow! again "You nasty villain."
(For the sake of posterity, I'll retain: "Keeper, until I locate a typical CGC graded 9.8 copy." and add CGC graded 9.9 or 10.0 copy!)

Detective Comics 483 has another of those "split-action" covers that are found on some issues in this set, perhaps most prominently on issue 448; and including the "triple split actions" of issue 491.
I was able to obtain a CGC graded 9.8 white paged copy of this book on September 7, 2015 (Labor Day) from WWC. Now for those CGC graded 9.9 AND 10.0 copies of this issue. (Although this copy of Detective Comics issue 483 is a very nice copy overall, I hope to get a 9.8 or higher graded copy of this book with white pages.)
Image #2 is of the other CGC graded 9.8 copy that I own of of Detective Comics 483.

Hey, Batgirl is on the cover-nothing else matters; even when Batgirl is sad she looks gorgeous.
Clearly I think that Detective Comics 484 has a fantastic cover and the rendition of Batgirl is simply stunning; hey, come on, I was a kid when I first laid my eyes on this cover.

Dick Giordano struck gold again with another brilliant cover for issue 485. I recall that the five stories contained in this issue, although I have not read them in many years, are well worth the price of admission.
My earlier comments for this issue noted that one of the two CGC graded copies that I own of this issue was a "[k]eeper, until I locate a typical CGC graded 9.8 copy." Well, a gorgeous 9.8 copy was added on February 11, 2017.
Issue Credits (as per the CGC Universal Label):

The cover of this book, featuring Batgirl and Robin, is another one of my favorite covers in this run (the secret is, I like all of the covers in this set).

The "triple-treat" cover on Detective Comics 491 is simply wonderful. However, I am dismayed that "plastic Batgirl" is falling apart.
