I think that this was the best of the Ditko covers. The colors of Spider-man and the Goblin across the white background cause the cover to pop and shows the motion of the characters.

I walked into my Local Comic Book Store and found this in my pull box. The owner of the store had purchased a silver age collection and found this in it. I had it graded about ten years after I bought it. It was kind of cool to see it get a 7.5. No, never been pressed.

Hey?!?! Where is Spider-man? Oh he is the guy that has to contend with a water tower collapse on the high rise. I have had to grow to appreciate this cover over time. Originally I dismissed it. Now when I look at it, it screwms to find Spider-man. Once I do I am forced to piece together the story from the cover to get an idea as to what is going on. Pretty cool.

Incredible Ditko issue that introduced us to Gwen and Harry. I love the title, "If This Be My Destiny" and it is a cover idea that has been stolen by many others. It reminds me a lot of ASM 135 with the division lines between the legs of the Spider.

When I wanted to chase this book I figured I would get it in a 9.0 or higher. This is the famous, "Face it Tiger you just hit the jackpot" issue. Why the 8.0 you ask? Simple, it is signed by Stan Lee and John Romita. Nuff said.

Introducing the Marvel Universe to Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of Crime, issue 50 is a landmark issue for another reason. This iconic cover has been paid homage to on numerous occasions across the industry. The book is a masterpiece as it defines Peter Parker's struggle between his responsibilities as Spider-man and his responsibilities to his loved ones as Peter Parker.
One day I plan on upgrading this to a 8.0-9.0.

I love this cover. There, I said it. It shows great depth of background as they fight through the city and how out of his element Spider-man is too high off the ground. The reader saw this cover and wanted to see how Spidey escapes the peril inside. Well done Romita.
