KEY ISSUE: For me yes this was a key issue not to mention series. Everyone else, not so much.
Fabian Nicieza story
Greg “Can Draw His Ass Off” Capullo art
Greg “Batman” Capullo Cover
Compared to the overall rest of this series this one has quite a few graded with 69 total graded and 48 graded at 9.8 with only a single one Signature Series. This one will be traveling with me to Wizard World Austin for Greg Capullo to add his Signature and hopefully it will retain its high standard and joined the other one signed still.
Story Title: Fatal Attractions Part Two: Back to Front
SUMMARY:
On Graymalkin, renamed Avalon, Magneto watches several screens with various children of the atom on them. He contemplates which one of them would be suited to join him in Avalon. He finally tells Exodus that his early students would be the best and that Charles Xavier's dream will finally be over.
Camp Verde
X-Force arrives back from their latest mission of rescuing Rusty and Skids. They exit their ship when Feral smells someone in their camp. They split up into groups of two and search the base. Sunspot and Rictor are taken out, along with Siryn, Warpath, Shatterstar and Feral. Then Cannonball and Boomer finally take out the attacker and it turns out to be Cable. Cable is surprised to see how much they have grown as a team. Sam tells him that he is not ready to have Cable back unless he can be honest with them finally about his past.
Cable then explains what happened to him in his past and how he came to find X-Force and how he finally fought Stryfe and came back a changed man. The group eventually accepts him back into the fold. Cable then looks at what the team has for resources. Then, there is a breach in the camp and the team runs outside. They see Exodus entering their base. He states he is looking for Sam and Roberto only. The rest of the team gets angry and threatens him. He responds by knocking them all down. The others arrive and Cannonball tells Exodus he will follow him to Avalon only if he can bring Boomer, Rictor, Rusty and Skids. Exodus finally agrees and after a short goodbye to the others, they leave. Cable then tells the team that remains, that Sam gave him a tracker and they are going to go get them all.
Avalon
Exodus shows the team around Avalon. They walk with him, unimpressed by their surroundings. They tell him that they have seen space ships and that this is no surprise to them at all. He tells them they are on board a converted Graymalkin and Sam asks about Professor. Exodus tells him that he was taken care of and changed to match their needed service. A robed figure then enters and the team immediately recognizes his voice as Magneto. He welcomes and offers Cannonball and the others to be the first of those deemed welcome into his new home. He then helps cure Rusty and Skids of their implants used by Stryfe.
Cable and the rest of X-Force fly to Avalon and Cable realizes that Exodus was really talking about Graymalkin. Cannonball admits that he led them here. Exodus rushes to meet the intruders and he attacks them. While the team fights Exodus, Cable runs to the computer and looks for Cannonball on the ship. Cannonball tells him no and that Rusty and Skids have agreed to join Magneto.
Cable then teleports X-Force off of Avalon onto their ship. Magneto, donned in his normal outfit, meets him. He scoffs at his futile attempt to attack him in his new home. Cable gets beat and ripped to shreds by Magneto's powers. He is almost dead when he quickly teleports off Avalon onto his team's ship.
The team is happy to see him but scared that he may not survive. They then hear Professor's voice and he tells them that Cable's mission was a success. Magneto watches from Avalon as the team arrives in Camp Verde and races to save Cable. He turns to Exodus and tells him that Cable's battle was a philosophical one and that it was a battle that Cable has won.
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
If you couldn’t tell from earlier I’m a fan of Greg Capullo’s. Him starting his run here actually made me a fan of his Batman run that he currently is on. Anyways its Story Time… So with the first one of this series for some reason I was so attracted to the idea of the Hologram cards that were packed away with the Marvel Series cards that I felt almost special to even be able to acquire this one. I loved this entire series and honestly had all of them packed away in my backpack which would go to school and back. Its this series that really got me excited about following crossover world destroying events. Magneto was all powerful until the end and almost killed one of my favorite characters in this one and change the status quo for another for a few years while he wasn’t nearly the best he was at what he does during this time.
All in all one of my favorite storylines here.

KEY ISSUE: Nope… Part Four of the Shattershot Series
Fabian Nicieza story
Greg Capullo, Mike Thomas & Harry Candelario art
Greg Capullo Cover
This one is actually pretty common compared to the rest of the Set. There are a total of 12 graded as 9.8 with this one included. Seeing as Greg Capullo did both interior and cover and he will be at the Wizard World Austin I will have to crack this one open to truly make it an OAK. I guess on the bright side if this one doesn’t retain its grade there are currently 2 more on eBay that I can attempt it with.
Story Title: Shattershot Part 4: The Mirror Liars
SUMMARY:
In the distant future on Mojoworld, Shatterstar rules the world while the Spineless Ones attacks in a rebel uprising. In the not-quite-as-distant future on earth, Arize arrives to ask the future version of X-Force to help overthrow Shatterstar (unaware that Shatterstar is being manipulated behind the scenes by "the Board" and the Scheduler and has already begun to dislike the condition of his newly "free" world). Back on Mojoworld, X-Force and Arize attack along with rebel forces and (with Shatterstar's help) manage to take down the Scheduler and the Board. And in the distance of the celebrating crowd Cannonball almost catches a glimpse of what looks like an aged Longshot.
The Crush:
Whiz Kid, Artie, and Leech protect a young girl at their school.
Know Your Enemy:
This story takes place right after X-Force #10. Cable rounds up his crew to take an inventory on the known threats to X-Force. Some enemies are questionable, but Cable wants to make sure his team knows what to expect in the future.
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
This was from a series that spanned across X-Men’s Annual, Uncanny X-Men’s Annual, X-Factor’s Annual and finally completed here in X-Force. An ok story-line but did help to set Shatterstar apart from the rest of X-Force as a force to be recon with. Hated what Marvel did to his character in first toning him down and then making him gay from being this psychopathic killer but I guess they wanted to either take him in a new direction, or go for the ah factor.
