PERSONAL COMMENTS:
This one is awesome and yet shows the love for the art and not the grade. While I will continue to submit commissioned art for this sketch variant slot for that coveted 9.8 SS sketch by someone amazing I am really excited to finally get this one in hand.
For starters the artist, Danny Cruz is by far one of the most talented detail oriented artists I have ever seen. A simple search of his CAF uploads or even on his deviantart page would show numerous covers he’s done for others and quite honestly for the price he is a can’t miss. As for this copy this is one of 5 connecting covers which span this issue, Cable and X-Force, Uncanny X-Force, Uncanny X-Men, and X-Men, with characters from each of the corresponding issues from Marvel Nows relaunch.
As for the grade I completely understand why it went from a 9.8 possible cover sent in the mail to receiving an 8.0 grade upon receival. While all of the corners are sharp, great spine, and a flawless interior the notes specifically denote the deduction for the quite large size white-out spill and ink spills as shown on the back cover image. Truly a shame but yet understandable. Again this is why when I purchased this set I was truly more worried about the art that Cruz could put out rather than the actual condition received in. I will have to find a way to be able to get all of the interconnecting covers and show case what the entire set looks like interlinked with one another.

KEY ISSUE: The first issue of the All New X-Men series. Have to say this was by far one of the best issues of 2013 and consistently had me wondering what next.

Danny Cruz Cover – It’s a Sketch cover variant so really any one could be the cover artist I guess.
SO K HOW MANY ARE THERE
Going simply with the sketch variant this one is an OAK…. Yeah not really the OAK many look for but at 8.0 this is the sole one out there. As for total with sketch variants there are a total of 61 of these Blank Variants graded with 55 of them having some type of signature or something or other on them. Oddly enough and I still don’t and probably never will understand this, there are currently 6 Plain Jane ones out there.
Story Title: “What Happens Now?”
MY TYPE OF SUMMARY:
I’ll wait until I get a first printing of this one before I post a full on summary of what happens here. Basic gist, never listen to Iceman’s idea Beast. He’s basically a jacked Frosty the Snow Man without the magic hat.

PERSONAL COMMENTS:
Wow, so this variant cover connects to nine others. Gotta say this one was really cool. Additionally had this one cracked and signed by David at Wizard World Austin where it now resides over at CGC in the Graded column. Hopefully all goes well and I get to crash the OAK owners hopes of always having that OAK.
Additionally was able to pick up the OA from David featuring Jean Absolutely losing it. Because he does the whole Digital Art and not pencil and inks this is an Art Proof and not simply a single page of easy on the eyes OA. I do have a plan to get this one in with a few others for framing though and would like to add this signed copy along with the Original cover in with it.

“Yup.” – Wolverine
“K” – Cyclops right before he shoots him in the air and back 20 feet.

SO K HOW MANY ARE THERE
This one has a grand total of 11 that have been graded and to this day all are 9.8 with a single OAK out there that has been signed. Hopefully there stays 11 but one of those numbers slides from 9.8 to 9.8SS.
Story Title: No Name Provided… According to Marvel it simply says 1st Story… don’t get it.
MY TYPE OF SUMMARY:
Another Variant Cover so I’ll write a better summary in the Regular listing but until then. Jean has a dream, that one day she will be stabbed in the throat by a psychotic Dean of a school… Maybe not as good as MLK’s dream but we all have them.
Anyways, loses control, hears voices, meets new/old friends. Cyclops runs away and doesn’t know how to use his phone nor understand why water is in bottles. Wolverine finds him, Cyclops shoots him, Mystique is intrigued. All done.
