STORY TITLE:
"Shell Game (X-Tinction Agenda Part 2)"
PERSONAL COMMENTS:
Huge fan of this crossover series especially with the New Mutants and Uncanny X-Men art. Didn’t really like the X-Factor art though but understood bringing in Jim Lee in the later numbers.

SO HOW MANY ARE THEIR K???
Wow, so right now this one copy is the true OAK out there in this set. Of all 22 books in this registry set there is only 3 9.8’s out there with two blue labels and this single book as the 9.8SS signed by Joesph Rubinstein. A total of 9 have been graded and of that only 3 books have been signed and graded with the other two belonging to the top two men in this Registry Set group (Tnerb and Bagofleas)
ANY PLANS FOR THIS ONE???
Not for now. I was able to get this one signed by Joe Rubinstein at Capital City Comic Con this summer and while the plan is to get Liefeld to sign all of these I’m going to be patient on this one. I have already needed to drop a ton of cash on Rob to sign some books this year and his prices have constantly gone higher and higher.
DID YOU MEET YOUR GOAL???
Sort of. This one is Signature Series and the lone OAK out there so in a way I have obtained that which had never been obtainable but will wait until I get the rest of my Liefeld Set back before jumping for more. For 2014 I am now done and happy with everything I have achieved.
SO HOW DID YOU GET THIS ONE???
This one was a purchase raw along with 12 other copies of this one from all over. Ebay, mycomicshop, Austin Books and Comics, and a random thrift store all had some 9.4 – 9.6 copies with this lone book looking like it could possibly get that final .2 needed. Had this one signed at Capital City Comic Con in July of 2014 and now here lies an OAK.
MY TYPE OF SUMMARY:
Storm, Boom-Boom, Rictor, Wolfsbane and Warlock have been captured by Magistrates and teleported to Genosha all nude, where they learn that Cameron Hodge, now using a huge mechanical body, has allied with the island nation. The mutants are stripped of their powers and prepared for undergoing the mutate process, but Warlock sacrifices his last energies to help his friends to break out, now clothed. They split up and try to escape the citadel, but Rahne later turns back to help Warlock. She arrives just in time to prevent Hodge from infusing himself with Warlock’s shapeshifting ability, but she can’t prevent her teammate’s death. In New York, X-Factor and the remaining New Mutants and X-Men learn of their friends whereabouts through the TV news. Genosha considers the X-Men as criminals of the state which will be brought to trial, Warlock is reported to have been killed while trying to escape.
Now knowing the future of Warlock and Cameron Hodge its almost fitting that Warlock was the one who kills Cameron in the Second Coming storyline.

SO HOW MANY ARE THEIR K???
A half decent amount of these currently exist. There are a grand total of 45 that have been graded with 23 obtaining that amazing 9.8 grade to include mine along with 4 that have retained there 9.8 status after being signed.
ANY PLANS FOR THIS ONE???
Yes currently Mr. Rob Liefeld plans to sign at the Amazing Arizona Comic Con in January and this along with a few more will be mailed out for another facilitator to assist me in its signing.
*Edit* Another one down in this set and Double signature at that. Signed by Joseph Rubinstein and Rob Liefeld at Amazing Houston last year.
DID YOU MEET YOUR GOAL???
No but with a plan in place already shouldn’t be to long before its been sent off and returned into my possession hopefully retaining its superior grade.
SO HOW DID YOU GET THIS ONE???
This one was through a boardie selling in the Modern forum. I was PM’ed by another collector as they noticed I was making a run for these and knew this would be one of those that I couldn’t possibly pass up in this grade or at the given price. This was bought as a 2 part purchase along with a copy of New Mutants Annual #6 in graded 9.8 condition.
MY TYPE OF SUMMARY:
I’ll probably down load this one onto my iPad at some point. Give me something to read for a few days I guess. Then I will have to write up a full summary.

SO HOW MANY ARE THEIR K???
In total there are 89 books that have been graded by CGC. Of those 59 have obtained the peak grade of 9.8 and only 6 total books have been graded at 9.8SS.
ANY PLANS FOR THIS ONE???
Yes this one was signed at Amazing Houston by Rob Liefeld and currently sitting in a box probably waiting for the graders to shine down on me. Who knows what grade they’ll give me but if it doesn’t work out I can always try again.
DID YOU MEET YOUR GOAL???
Yes I did. This one was signed and graced with the 9.8SS title following Amazing Houston Comic Con where it was double signed by Joe Rubinstein and Rob Liefeld.
