A hero/villain series, introducing the obscure! Keeping it real to the end of the series and making headway at Marvel. These were the 70's and have a root in looking toward the future, and what may it hold!?! Back when Science could still be thought of as fiction, these are the Astonishing Tales. Of a hope and a future, we were all promised, and only today, possibly realized. Astonishing! Around the campfire, for sure, were thoughts and dreams for creators. Give me tomorrow I pray!
Man, or Machine? Or something in between? It isn't a Transformer; it is a Human Being!!
Tales were spoken to as fiction way back as a kid, and I suppose they still are, in a general sense, accustomed to that definition today! Whether it be an ongoing series of a variant issue or be it on newsstands of the local comic bookstore, none are more exciting than getting ready for more issues. As the days pass on, we might wonder what will astonish us more. We have within ourselves to seek out the best copies and what issues might suit us best. Man, or machine? When double wielding it will take on more meaning as the Marvel Comics of the 70's dishes out the offspring, of bronze age goodness, and quite an era to be a part of, because it was before it all became quite apparent. We all had visions of where electronics and robots would have brought us, and with great care and admiration we pondered how far we could go with them. Limits happen on their own, sometimes, but we all can marvel at the unknown!
