My original, off-the-shelf copy of Dragon Ball Z #1. It has definitely seen some wear over the years but still holding strong. I was able to meet Sean Schemmel at NYCC 2022 and get him to sign this book. It might not be high grade but definitely sentimental.

This was one of the two books that I submitted for the cast signing. It's my original off-the-shelf copy. It was intended to only get signed by Chris Sabat but a few other signatures made it on. Piccolo was my favorite character so getting his VA's signature was meaningful. More so, he graciously fulfilled my request for the remarque statement of "Special Beam Cannon!" one of Piccolo's most powerful attacks.

This is the crown jewel of my signed DBZ books. First, this was my original off-the-shelf copy. Second, it was signed by 10 cast members. Third, Bryan Massey, the voice of Oolong, drew the seven dragon balls on the book. Those of you who know the show will probably chuckle at the irony in that. Fourth, after all the years in storage and then handling through all the signings, it still came back high grade! It was definitely the best condition book in my original DBZ Viz collection and is definitely one of my top books in my current collection.

I picked this one and v5 #5 up off a seller on eBay. Last year, I was able to meet Linda Young, the OG voice of Frieza, at NYCC 2023. She signed both books. It was a great experience because I got more time than most for a funny reason. Her table was near the mid-back corner of the show floor and next to a pillar. So Wi-Fi to process credit cards was not cooperating. I think we tried my card for a good 10 minutes. In the meantime, I just kept chatting with her and she kept popping in and out of Frieza mode in conversation. Such a cool exchange. Thanks again Linda!
