Set Description:
All Canadian Edition Set (Canadian Newsstand Price Variants)
The set history dates back to 1996, 8 of these were originally from a complete set of 12 purchased from a collector for the comic book shop that I owned. The 90s comic collapse saw me close the store and liquidate the stock. When the last of the comics were sold I put together a "panic box" of about 100 comic books, including the Crisis on Infinite Earths set. That box sat in storage until about 2019, along with others from the original store collection, they were sent to CGC. When they came back I noticed that 8 of them were marked "Canadian Edition".
I set them aside and started researching Canadian Price Variants and almost immediately decided to try to put together a Near Mint set of all 12 CPV only Crisis on Infinite Earths. Of this set, 7 are from the original collection. 1 was an 8.0 and was sold. The rest of the missing issues were purchased where I could and submitted to CGC for slabbing (with the exception of issues 8 and 10) I believe, they were purchased already slabbed. I would still like to upgrade the 9.0s.
At best this is the ONLY ALL CPV SET of Universal Grade CGC Slabs on Earth, at worst it's one of only 3 in existence according to the census.
