This run is one of Cole's most famous, however it had been around for years before Cole got his hands on it. There was "once upon a time" a character called Blue Bolt, but over the years the title changed themes from any kind of superhero title to an adventure book. Cole's covers pop up in a few earlier and then at #102 it kicks into a new gear.

With a few issues in there's some adventure and some space themed covers (#105 being the most famous). Then there's the Basil Wolverton cover of #109. And then it goes horror!

From the Weird Tales to the Ghostly Weird Tales this run is perhaps the most famous and recognized of all of Cole's work. If you ask 10 people their top 3 of the run you'll likely get 10 different answers - and each one would be correct!
