I got hooked when I read a reprint of Issue 57 and started collecting original back issues, thankfully, most prior to the price increases during the CGC years. The Silver Surfer books are most memorable for me because the persona Kirby and Lee developed was so unique in comics at that time, and the concept captured and inspired a little kid's imagination.
