Set Description:

I’ve always kept it on the down low, but I’m a Trekkie at heart. I started reading Star Trek comics during the first DC run in the late 80’s. At that point Marvel and Gold Key Star Trek comics had been out of print for a few years and high grade Gold Key rapidly went out of my price range. I wanted to start collecting Star Trek so I bought any high grade Marvel I came across as these were still within my budget at the time.

Are the Marvel Star Trek comics any good? Yes and no. You get a tremendous variety of great Marvel writers and artists across the short 18 book run (almost every comics has a different team). Each comic has its own feel to it. The downside is the stories are sometimes a little generic, some riddled with cheesy lines, with no flow between the books.

Set includes signatures from William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, Ed Hannigan, Stan Lee, J.M. DeMatteis and Marv Wolfman.

Comics listed as “Submitted from my stash” were bought primarily from Daydreams Comics while I was going to school in Iowa City.
