The birth of the Marvel Universe and the greatest heros going, as well as the most entertaining.
Really great copy, centering is awsome, and the white on the covers is as good some of the 8.5's that I have. Small 1/8" tear on the top of the back cover near the spine. Letter A written in pencil in the F on the front cover, extremly difficult to see from more than 2 feet away, this doesn't detract from the eye appeal. Staples are very clean, only minor stresses around the staples, this is due to the fact that they aren't in the spine and in the front cover. Bottom staple is about 1/8" into the front cover, this is the only thing about this copy that bothers me. Over all a awsome copy that is borderline 7.5, one of only 65 blue label in this grade or higher.
Origin first Appearance of the Fantastic Four, first appearance Mole Man as well. The historical signifigance of this book is being slightly overlooked currently (with Spidey getting more attention), this book and Showcase #4 began a explosion in creativity and competition in the industry.
Maybe one day this will be upgraded to 8.0 but I am more than happy with this 7.0.

First off let me give a special thanks to kevinm562 because this comic came from his set "The Poppupian Collection", I know it was hard to part with (check out his sets, silver age Marvel 4 life).
Super beautiful copy, centering is almost perfect and signed in the perfect spot.
Now I am not big on signatures on higher grade silver age books, but every once in a while some thing comes along and slaps you in the face (and boy this one woke me up). There are only 4 graded this high or higher in the first 10 issues (#1-8.5, #4-7.5 this copy,#5-9.0, and #7-7.5) and only 3 more up to #20. Let's face it guys Stan isn't going to be around until the end of time, and won't be doing signings forever.
As for the book itself, I absoutly love this cream colored cover. First silver age appearance of Sub-Mariner and the start of the akwardness of the crush of Subby on Sue, many great stories to come from this. Look at the little baby booties the Thing is wearing, bless the stars those are gone.
I prize this book more than issue #1, it has found a home. It is not a 8.0 or better (how I don't know), but as far as I am concerned this is better, so I broke my set rule on this one and have no regrets about it.

Origin and 1st appearance of Dr. Doom. Full page ad for Incredible Hulk #1 and a letter from Roy Thomas. The first time we see Dr. doom, a perrinial Marvel mega villan that has made his round in the Marvel Universe.
Off center 1/8" to the back, but with near perfect staple placement. A really sharp copy an 8.0.

Very well centered except for the staples, they are in the front cover and not in the spine, I am suprised that more damage didn't result from this.

1st Ant-Man crossover(I have always been rather fond of the classic Ant-Man look). Great cover with Dr. Doom about to crush our heros in his hand. One of my favorite covers of all time with the blending out red and ya just can't lose with Doom. Excellent centering and eye appeal going on here.
