I think issue #32 was my first Sandman. They say you never forget your fist but it feels somewhat akin to a dream when I purchased all those books many years ago. I felt back issues were more expensive than I wanted to part with but LongShot changed that for me. I purchased these books of the wall for many times their cover price. A few issues into "A Game of You" and my next back issue expense was Sandman #1. I asked Dane, the proprietor to take it down of the wall. The single pushpin through the top of the Mylar bag. I never asked him to put it back up. I added the twenty dollarbook to my New Release pile and hoped that the issue #8 waiting next to it would still be there when I was ready to buy it. I met Neil at the same Comic Book shop and he signed this issue for me. I have no qualms about the qualified grade it received because I know that meeting with Neil Gaiman was nothing short of a waking dream.

I never thought any of my Sandman issues would have attained a 9.8. But after pressing, this one did. I am iffy about the whole pressing business and yet I still got many an issue pressed to improve my grade on a book. I figured if a book is pressed and I know about it I will disclose that information on any of the books I own and am keeping n my registry here. I can't do anything about any of the books I dont know about...but wow a 9.8

I can still remember this on the wall at ComiCards, my first LCS. I saved and purchased this book and every issue up to it. 9.2... I can live with that.
