I find myself forever an admirer of jack Kirby and his "fourth world creation" and often as I examine the various issues and storylines I see something that has always teased my mind a bit and made me say....I wonder, I wonder I wonder......
The thing that always gives me a pause to consider about the fourth world is parallels, both visual and theme related.
The source, the force......the son of the evil villain born to a higher cause and destined to forvever battle his evil father. Darkseid, Darth Vader . Death star, apokolips. High father, Obi Wan. Beautiful dreamer, princess Leia? Chewbacca, Big bear. It is a road that once you start down, becomes increasinly obvious and simple...I wonder, I wonder. I wonder if George Lucas was a Kirby fan too.............
