Set Description:

I was young when I first picked up my first back issue of Ghost Rider, mostly for the visual coolness of the covers. I look back and have fond memories of going through long boxes in comic stores getting back issues of Ghost Rider. To me Ghost Rider will always be linked to my younger years of collecting comics and that’s why my goal is to complete the collection. I finally completed my collection in June 2022, all 9.8s WHITE Pages with the exception of a couple of 9.6s on the Marvel Spotlight side. I want to eventually upgrade all my Marvel Spotlights to 9.8s WHITE Pages, but with those high prices I might never meet that goal.

Ghost Rider Collection Vol. 2 from 1972 to 1983.
Johnny Blaze first appeared as the Ghost Rider in Marvel Spotlight #5 (August 1972). He was created by Roy Thomas, Gary Friedrich, and artist Mike Ploog. He received his own series in 1973, with penciller Jim Mooney handling most of the first nine issues. Several different creative teams mixed-and-matched until penciller Don Perlin began a long stint with issue #26, eventually joined by writer Michael Fleisher through issue #58. This Ghost Rider's career ended when Zarathos fled Johnny's body in issue #81 (June 1983), the finale.
