Set Description:

This set begins with a Hef-signed 9.4 #1 (Dec.'53) and ends with a 9.4 #12 (Nov.'54). Average grade for this set is 9.55.Two-thirds of this set have the Highest Grade for that particular month, including 8 of the first 9 issues. Inventory By Grade: 9.8 (3), 9.6 (4), 9.4 (4) & 9.2 (2). This set contains the two Highest Graded Hugh Hefner autographed #1 PLAYBOYS with "WHITE Pages" in existence; the 9.4 newsstand 1953 Playboy and the 9.2 "PAGE 3" Playboy (also published in 1953), respectively, as well as a 9.0 Red Star #1, making this the only CGC collection with all 3 variants of the First Issue graded in the "Nines". This set also contains the one-and-only 9.8 June 1954 Playboy magazine in the world. Added Bonus is a 10.0 (Gem Mint) 2007 Reprint of #1.
