That threading needle of myth; an inviting ingress for imaginations, entry not trepid but running wild-eyed, face into the wind, soul open, without cares left for household capes.
Amazing.
That bonding-glue for counting fathers & countless children.
Amazing.
That Awe-driven excitement emanating; magic our adult again can see, touch; feel. Be.
Again rapt & gleeful in self-embraced childishness cherished, amidst shin-bruised superheroes who battle-cry from sofas and bedtops but eventually leap
much too soon
into their father-shoes,
practical and counting--empirical--until reacquainted
with thaat misplaced magic.
Amazing.
That overlooked constant
available and immediate in that tipping-point, where light is born
into your child's eyes; the first spark on a match tip, space begins
breathing hungry and full-lunged, but easily; the pulse beat
of living-room play--made belief--tumbling into itself and each other. Again.
Amazing.
Wonderstruck with marvel like lightning in a fat-flaked snow storm reminding you its always out there.
