My first ever 9.9 along with the Cassaday Variant. This was purchased from ebay seller: fantasticrealm.
After a few years, we get the inevitable rebirth/return of Steve Rogers! So apparently, he wasn't really dead all this time. He was actually frozen in suspended animation, and when Sharon Carter broke free of the Doom-Zola device, he caused Steve Rogers to become unstuck in time - bouncing throughout his life's history being forced to reenact many many battles!
Sharon meets up with the Avengers to figure out a plan as Bucky-Cap and the Black Widow are trying to gather intel.
We eventually see that Norman Osborn has a stake in the Rebirth of Captain America. What's going to happen to Steve Rogers?!
This issue marks the team-up of Ed Brubaker and Bryan Hitch! It's pretty cool to see Cap get this much attention with a miniseries like this and with an artist like this. Bryan Hitch was introduced to me with his work on the Ultimates, which was a pretty awesome series. So also pictured is my copy of Ultimates #1, signed also by the creator of the Avengers, Stan Lee.

Huge huge kudos goes out to Sean & Chris of NYCOMICS for assisting me in getting the Co-creator of Captain America, Joe Simon's signature.
Personal Note
This is a tough tough book to find in high grade. But when I decided that I would eventually get all of Reborn graded, I had to try to find and submit this issue and I got extremely lucky.

Huge huge kudos goes out to Sean & Chris of NYCOMICS for assisting me in getting the Co-creator of Captain America, Joe Simon's signature. This is actually a 50/50 cover.
I feel this cover harkens back to when Sharon Carter didn't realize what she was seeing when the Red Skull and Arnim Zola were trying to activate their Doom-Zola time platform. Steve Rogers being pulled through time, but when the Sharon broke free, Steve became unstuck in time.
Also pictured is my reading copy signed by Alex Ross.

My first ever 9.9 along with the Hitch regular cover. This was purchased from ebay seller: fantasticrealm.
As before with the Cassaday variant to #25, his rendition of Captain America is one of the best renditions of Captain America in the modern age. I love that John was able to provide covers to every issue in Reborn!
Pictured is a book I picked up from Alex Hunter featuring another fantastic Cassaday cover, this one signed by Joe Simon.

This sketch cover was a 1:75 ratio cover, but it for a period of time it felt as if everybody had a sketch cover for sale. I'm quite happy with mine :)

I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Q. when he was in Toronto for the Fan Expo. I really enjoy his cover work, and there's no doubt that he has made quite a legacy for himself at Marvel Comics!

Certainly a book that was probably under-ordered, except for the completists, I really love the cover for this 2nd printing. It's certainly an excellent image from the book, and quite possibly a preview of the look of Cap for the upcoming movie. It will be interesting to note what sort of influences and style Marvel chooses to go with for the costume of Captain America.

As the issue opens we see Steve Rogers time-surfing through various moments in his life, with some spectacular visuals from Bryan Hitch. All the meanwhile, the Avengers are working to uncover the truth, and Osborn starts to flex his muscle as the Director of Hammer and makes some moves.
Unlike the back cover to issue #1, here for #2 we are treated to the first full wraparound cover for the series. I'm unsure as to the exact reasons for not using the wraparound cover for #1 (search comicarfans.com to see who owns it for details), but every single cover by Hitch for this series was northing short of amazing.

The ratio for this cover was quite high, a 1:125 variant cover, and with the all-white back cover, I imagine it would be quite difficult to secure a high-grade copy.

Kudos goes out to NYCOMICS of the CGC forums in being able to work out a deal with me to acquire this book, and for getting the three autographs on it: Tim Sale, Joe Simon and Stan Lee.
Personal Note
Ever since I was first exposed to Tim Sale's work on The Long Halloween, I loved it! I also really enjoyed his contributions to the show "Heroes". I've had the pleasure of meeting Tim when he came to Toronto for the Fan Expo and I'm super excited for when Captain America: White eventually comes out.

This book was purchased originally as a Universal 9.8 graded book from ebay seller: ultimatecomics4u, Dan Thompson.
Huge huge kudos goes out to Sean & Chris of NYCOMICS for assisting me in getting not only the Co-creator of Captain America, Joe Simon's signature but also Joe Quesada and Jim Cheung!
Personal Note
This variant should prove to be one of the rarest Captain America books of recent memory. Stores only received 1 copy of this book if they had special "Marvel Parties" to celebrate the release of The Marvels Project #1. This book was shipped as an incentive some time later to stores that had the release party.
While this variant may be somewhat plentiful on ebay at the time of posting this, NM/M copies will be extremely tough to find due to the production flaw I mentioned. I've personally seen 3 copies of this variant in hand all with the same production flaw and many auctions on ebay even show the flaw on the book, but I've noticed some sellers using small pictures or stock images to hide the flaw.
So all in all, this book is supposed to be a 1-per-store book with not all comic shops even getting a copy, and on top of that, lots of copies have production flaws.
While the frame of the cover is indeed by Jim Cheung, the center art of Captain America on the cover is actually by Joe Quesada.

Having invested the money into purchasing other Signature Series books with premium signatures, this #2 Variant makes the first book from my all-Universal Label submission.
You really have to give credit to John Cassaday for consistently producing top notch covers. I hope we can see him do interior art again soon.
Also pictured is my copy of Captain America #1 vol.4 which featured Cassaday's artwork.

There are some truly amazing spreads by Bryan Hitch in this issue, and this marks a point where I will have much less specific spoilers about the series, as I highly recommend that you check it out and enjoy the writing and the art for yourself!
There are some solid moments with Reed Richards and various Avengers members discussing the circumstances around the death of Steve Rogers, and we finally see the Red Skull and co. brought back into the limelight of the story.

Yet another outstanding cover by John Cassaday, this features various WWII Marvel Heroes including the Invaders including: Namor, The Destroyer, SpitFire, Union Jack, Bucky, Toro and the Human Torch.
Interesting to see is the back cover for this issue was kept as the original wraparound to the Bryan Hitch cover. Something not entirely consistent with the rest of the back covers for following issues.

I've seen a print by Leinil Yu on ebay which features a great rendition of Cap. I was really enthused to see that he got a chance to do a cover for this series as we were given only a glimpse of Yu drawing the new Captain America during the Secret Invasion.
As with the Cassaday Variant, this issue also features the same wraparound back cover from the regular cover.
