Set Description

The Metal Men are my favorite misfit superheroes, and Dr. Will Magnus is the original "stable genius"!! I started reading Metal Men in the 60s when Dad would take my brother and me to the local Smoke Shop to buy comics, and I have been a Uuge fan ever since. Metal Men are a true DC Gem that have kept returning in print over the years...a tribute to their success. Some supposed experts have called them too obscure and odd to collect, but I beg to differ. Metal Men are very popular and becoming extremely difficult to find in high grade now. This set is dedicated to the Apfel family and the true collector who works hard with limited resources to build a high quality registry set. This is 1 of only 2 sets at 100% completion, and the first Metal Men Set to win the Best Silver Age Set Award...Nuff Said!!!
