I loved this series from the 1st issue. I remember being upset with my LCS because they insisted in putting a price tag sticker on the book to reflect the price in Canadian $, which could have damaged the cover of the book. I never was able to convince them to use an alternative method. But I digress ... I believe that "I, Lusiphur" was published from December 1991, to December 1992, and Poison Elves from February 1993, to February 1995. Drew Hayes had originally self-published the series during the early 90s under his company, Mulehide Graphics. The title was was changed to Poison Elves (and later in 1995 under Sirius Comics) because of the similarity of Lusiphur to Lucifer, which could leave a casual reader with the misconception that the series was Satanic in nature. I remember Drew Hayes indicating that sales that significantly increased after the name change. Sadly, Drew Hayes died in 2007 bringing the series to an end, and a commemorative issue #80 was released to give fans a look at sketches and plans Drew Hayes had for the future of the series before his death.
