Two versions of #1 exist - one with a price and one without. I believe the price sticker version is the rarer of the two. I would like to upgrade this copy and add the other version as well.
We get Sam's origin inside a simple cover by Eisner and Lou Fine. Interior artists include Jack Cole.

This is perhaps my favorite cover of the run. I was never a big George Tuska fan during the Silver Age as he drew many Marvel stories but this cover is a stunner. I;m a sucker for larger than life hero covers and this is one.
Wonderfully bright high graded 8.5 copy.

Beautiful cover by Gill Fox as Sam makes look against the samurai-looking bad guy. A very acceptable 7.5 grade with near perfect PQ.
Hitler makes an appearance inside. George Tuska and Al McWilliams provide some art.

The absolute hardest issue for me to find. It took me forever until a raw copy surfaced on Ebay that was supposedly an estate sale find. I took a chance and it turned okay upon submission with a solid 5.0 grade and ow-white pages.
No wonder this is so desirable - A giant Uncle Sam pulls apart a swastika while Hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini are chased across the planet.
