Marvel Annuals have really enjoyed a price explosion in 2021, as they keep setting record after record. DD Annual #1 features appearances by Electro, Gladiator, Stilt-Man, Leap-Frog and the Matador. Our 9.8 features white pages and comes from the Twin Cities and Federal Hill Collections. It is one of just three 9.8s and certainly the nicest example I have seen-and I believe the only one with white pages to boot. We acquired the book in a transaction with another private collector in May 2021.

The first annual dating from 1963 is a biggie, featuring the origin of Sub-Mariner, a crossover by Spidey and the first appearances of Lady Dorma and Krang.
It is also a relatively rare issue in high grade with just three 9.8s topping the census. We feel fortunate that our copy is one of them; we acquired it in the 6/4/2012 CL auction.*
