Marvel Collectors’ Item Classics #1 seems to be yet another one of several efforts by Marvel to capitalize on the popularity of issues readers missed in the 1960s. In the vein of Marvel Tales, this inaugural issue reprinted four stories from earlier in the decade, specifically FF #2, the first Skulls, ASM #3, the first Doc Octopus. TTA #36, the second Any-Man, and the first Tales of Asgard from JIM #85.
Our WP 9.8 is the finest copy in existence of this 1966 classic. It comes from the Federal Hill Collection and was acquired on 4/28/2021.
