Single Highest CGC Graded SS Copy ! STANS'S EARLIEST WORK AS A WRITER IN COMICS. A justifiable exception to the rule for this custom set, AW #1 (Summer 1941) is preceded only by Captain America #3 (May 1941) in which the young apprentice was given an opportunity to show his wares by writing a small story albeit all in text. This also happens to be the 1st issue & 1st appearance of the All-Winners Squad.

There are 298 U.S. Cents SS copies compared to a mere Four (4) U.K. 9d price variants, and this CGC 5.5 is the highest graded copy followed by a single 3.0, 2.5, and 2.0 !! Of these 11 copies this cgc 8.5 is the highest graded followed by a 5.5, a 3.5 and lower from there. The census for overall grades are as follows: 4,692 U.S. Cents Copies & 96 U.K. 9d copies Stan's signature on an early price variant of such a historic issue along with this being the Tied for the highest graded ASM #1 U.K ever graded and single highest SS U.K. version make this a very special book.

Highest CGC Graded SS copy just 2 exist the very 1st Man Thing Cover! It's a hidden gem and another fantastic cover by John Buscema. Stan signed this book over the shadows of the muck monster himself. At first glance, It was one of those "ah crud" moments, yet upon reflection, this is the Man-Thing we are talking about A Camouflage signature on this particular splash should be required!

Not only do we get a kick-ass cover featuring the sinister Red Skull, along with a perfectly placed gold signature by Stan, but this issue also has the first time Sharon Carter's name is revealed. Cap always knew her as Agent X, but during a dinner date, her name is finally revealed. Sharon Carter has been Cap's long-time romantic interest, and she, along with her great aunt Peggy have both appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
