Synopsis:
Introducing a brand-new series focusing on some of the most famous Captains in Starfleet history! In the debut issue, Captain Hikaru Sulu, still new to the command of the U.S.S. Excelsior, finds himself once again face to face with one of the Federation's most dangerous and mysterious adversaries -- the Tholians! From the creative team behind Spock: Reflections!
Notes:
- Signed & "Captain Sulu" By: George Takei on 09/01/2023.
- Captain Sulu Photo Cover.
Continuity:
- Several significant continuity-errors exist throughout this issue, including repeated misuse of a refit Constitution-class starship graphic on display screens onboard the USS Excelsior (instead of an Excelsior-class ship layout).
- Another continuity error occurs during the rescue of the Oberth-class USS Shepherd — one comic frame depicts a 1960s Constitution-class starship (likely an accidental reuse of the USS Defiant from earlier in the story), instead of the Oberth-class vessel.
- This comic appears to take place at some point early in Captain Sulu's command of the USS Excelsior (circa 2290 to 2291), after several significant command-staff changeovers (c.f., Excelsior: Forged in Fire), but prior to the events of The Lost Era novel The Sundered (set in 2298, after the events of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country), due to Sulu's relative inexperience with the Tholian race.

Synopsis:
As Unicron destroys the planet Lithone (not named in the comic), the Autobots plan to retake Cybertron from the Decepticons. Optimus Prime sends a group to Autobot City on Earth to acquire the energon needed for the assault. His mission is discovered by Megatron, however, and the shuttle is hijacked, the crew is killed, and Autobot City is attacked.
When all seems lost, Prime arrives and turns the tide of the battle, engaging in a colossal battle with Megatron. Both receive grave injuries, and as Prime dies, he passes the Matrix of Leadership to Ultra Magnus.
The Decepticons dump their injured into space, including Megatron, and battle for leadership. Unicron reformats the abandoned Decepticons into powerful warriors in order to destroy the Matrix—the only thing that could harm him. Megatron is now Galvatron, and he regains the leadership of the Decepticons by killing the traitorous Starscream.
Unicron eats Cybertron's moons while Galvatron's crew attacks the Autobots, sending them fleeing into space. The Autobots' two shuttles crash on separate planets. While Hot Rod's group battles the Quintessons and Sharkticons and learns about Unicron, Ultra Magnus's crew crash-lands on Junk and is attacked again by Galvatron, who steals the Matrix.
Galvatron attempts to use the Matrix to enslave Unicron, but only angers the behemoth, inciting him to transform and attack Cybertron. The Autobots and their allies travel to destroy Unicron and crash their ship into Unicron's eye. They rescue the Moonbase prisoners while Hot Rod battles Galvatron. Hot Rod opens the Matrix, transforming into Rodimus Prime. He disposes of Galvatron and helps everyone escape while using the Matrix to destroy Unicron. Rodimus exclaims that this event will end the Cybertronian wars.
'Til all are one.

- Transformers: The Animated Movie is a comic book adaptation of 1986's The Transformers: The Movie, published by IDW Publishing in 2006–2007. It was part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the film, which also included a new DVD release.
- The comic is very faithful to the finished film, with most of the dialogue being lifted directly from the movie, aside from the characters saying each other's names more often.
- Figueroa's artwork in this series is a bit of a departure from his usual style, with character designs that are much closer to the standard Floro Dery models that were used in the original G1 comics and cartoons.

Synopsis:
At the age of nine, Phil Coulson was reading and writing about superheroes such as the original Human Torch. At the age of eighteen, when Phil was in college, Phil was writing in his notebook, while watching the Hulk fight the Thing, much to his friend's annoyance. At the age of twenty-five, he became a S.H.I.E.L.D. data analyst under the command of Dum-Dum Dugan. Eventually, Phil was chained a prison after being interrogated and was rescued by Maria Hill and Agent Billis. In the present, when Phil was the SHIELD Special Ops Supreme Commander, he was assisting Iron Man, Hyperion, Blue Marvel, and the Hulk on a mission against Surtur. Suddenly, Sam Wilson and Sam Alexander had arrived, followed by a Storm Giant. Sam demanded that Coulson called as much help as possible to help them fight the enemies. Instead, Coulson was focused on a terrorist named Abu Mussan, who had been carving tanks with a mysterious flaming sword. Thirty minutes later, in a SHIELD jet, Coulson was briefing Fitz, Simmons, and May on Abu Massan, who had acquired an Uru sword. They landed in Sharzhad and learned that the Uru sword actually belonged to Heimdall. They encountered Abu Mussan and Black Knight and Valkyrie, who were hiding among Coulson's team, revealed themselves and drew out their swords. Black Knight and Valkyrie would fight Abu Mussan, while the rest of the team would try to save Heimdall from the terrorists. Valkyrie killed Abu Mussan and she and Black Knight rushed to Heimdall, who was under the influence of a stone, summoned serpent like monsters, along with the heroes who were fighting them. Coulson and Vision were able to remove the stone from Heimdall and free him from its influence. Then, Heimdall remembered what had happened to him before falling under the stone's influence. Later, the team went to the SHIELD Helicarrier, where they studied alien rocks.
