Highest graded. One of only three graded this high. Bethlehem pedigree. I was a strong bidder on this eBay comic, I willing to pay a bit more than I got it for, so that makes me one happy camper. Stories are- "Abandon Spaceship," "The Sun Maker," "Planet of No Return," and "Moon Trap." Dick Giordano cover. Cover price $0.10.
Slot: Bethlehem pedigree.

Do not like the layout of this cover, everything looks to be out of proportion. The title seems to small, the Comics Code box seems to big, the Disneyland ad seems out of place, the story title looks to big for the bottom of the page, and the white cover is the worst. Okay, that may be a little harsh but I do love the panel on the first page. Typical Charlton art work having the word ROCKET on the rocket. Also like how Steve put his last name on the piece of space debris.

Steve Ditko cover and one story. Both of the inside covers are blank, couldn't find anyone to buy an ad for there I guess. Nice, that may be the wrong word, picture of Hitler on the first page. Another Heritage pick-up for $105, did I really pay that much for this book? Oh well, it is a Bethleham pedigree and has art work by Ditko and has a Hitler picture and is 48 years old and is a 9.0 with OW/W pages and came with the Beth. certificate, I guess it was worth it.
Slot: Bethlehem pedigree.

Nice S. Ditko cover along with some art work inside. This Bethleham book has a date stamp (May 12 1960) in the word "WAR" and came with the Beth pedegree cert. which ani't much, doesn't even list the book that goes with it.
Slot: Bethlehem pedigree.

Okay, a rather big cat floating around in space, not going to happen. I like how the artist put the space rockets ID# NOV161960 across the whole ship. Another Bethleham book. How can you go wrong with a comic that has a picture of a butt-head.
Slot: Bethlehem pedigree.

Another Ditko cover on this Bethleham pedigree book. Nice atomic bomb blast cover. A Heritage Auctions pick for $66. I love this panel as it reminds me of my favorite cover- Frontline Combat #10.

This is my favorite cover. The art work on the giant robot with the shadowing on its back looks great. On the inside it's a differant story. The splash page doesn't really get me to geared-up to read the story. A date stamp above Mr. Robots head and a slight dust shadow cost this book from being a 9.2 or .4 I think.
Slot: Bethlehem pedigree.

Another Heritage pick-up which I paid way to much for, under $100, but it is a Bethleham Pedegree and graded 9.0. It has a light date stamp just below the R of war. This comic is from 1963 but didn't they know back then that you can't feed choc. to dogs at the risk of thier lives?
Slot: Boston pedigree

At the height of the 1960s' obsession with UFOs came Dell's Flying Saucers. This rare Near Mint Plus CGC 9.6 is the highest graded, and is 1 of only 4 of examples ever awarded this top grade by CGC. Further enhancing its desirability, CGC has assigned its perfect page quality designation, White Pages, making this the best 9.6 obtainable.

Why didn't they carry the art all the way over to the right edge? Nice pickup from ComicLink for $50.

Nice little find from a Heritage auction. Don't mind the pedigree markings on the cover at all. The word is that only about a third of Circle 8 pedigree comics have the 8 with a circle around it on the covers. It's always fun to compare the cover with splash page they used for the cover.

Took this one away from Metropolis Collectibles for a nice price of $138. I seem to remember offering $135 and they came back with $138, Just seemed a bit odd coming back with 3 bucks higher. Just a so-so cover but the back is kind of cool. There are only 5 copies of this issue graded with this one being the second highest graded.

Here we have one of those Schomburg covers with all the detail that he's known for. Five people, gun shots, choke holds, spear stabing, and the worlds largest diamond. What more could you ask for? I love the little "Photo-Alarm" hidden away in the lower corner of this cover. Schomburg does some great art work on Doc Strange here as he looks young and buffed and more lifelike than some other covers. Perfectly centered cover with somewhat of a dirty spine (dust shadow?) as can be found on some the Crippen pedigree books.
Slot: Davis Crippen (D Copy) pedigree.
Item Description: Thrilling Comics 50 Universal

Great cover showing how we should treat our returning Vets. Have a band playing for them, a fly by. Give them a loan, a job, and a thankyou handshake. Love how Schomburg put the wife, kids, and parents in the background. Best part of the cover is the Nazi helmet the G.I. brings home. This copy is very well centered and would get the higher grade if not for a somewhat dirty spine. This is a Crippen D-copy pedigree comic without any cover markings.
Thrilling Comics #50 Davis Crippen ("D" Copy) pedigree (Better Publications, 1945) CGC FN+ 6.5 Cream to off-white pages. Alex Schomburg cover. Bob Oksner, August Froehlich, and Maurice Gutwirth art. Overstreet 2006 FN 6.0 value = $117; VF 8.0 value = $225. CGC census 1/07: 1 in 6.5, 2 higher. From the Crippen Collection.

Oh my, Arachne and the Professor don't look to happy that they got on the "L" train, ah, I mean the Hell train. Take a closer look at that conductor and you’ll notice he has a nice little red tail and, oh yeah, a nice set of horns coming out of the forehead. Is he the devil or just a demon? The conductors arm patch reads Inferno Express and his belt buckle reads Abandon Hope. Right next to the orange creator box are a nice little pile of three bullets. Would someone please tell me what that darn clock is doing on a train. One other little note is the pack of cigarettes laying at the base of the clock. Wayne Howard was a very heavy smoker and most likely lead to his early death at 58. I don’t know if you noticed but the title logo has changed with this issues. The title Midnight Tales is now printed on a piece of parchment instead of floating letters. This was purchased on eBay as a group of 6 Midnight Tales issues and listed as from the Mass. Copy pedigree. When I asked for proof he told me his name and said I could ask anybody in the know and they would confirm that he was a big buyer of the Mass. Copy collection. I sent them to CGC with his email and they all came back as Mass. Copy Pedigree copies.
Tied with 2 others as highest graded.
