Owner's Description
Origin and 1st appearance of Conan. 1st King Kull in cameo. THE Barbarian gets a series to bring much comic and movie success! I bought this raw at Keith's Comics for the low price of $30. I bought it just to read, still a collectible to me! Worth grading and glad that I got it at a comfortable price! This book took a trip to the water park, yet with inevitable sturdiness took the grade like a champ. The most appreciated start to the bronze age? It's got the correct date as of 1970, this cover would spark interest and buzz in those times on stands. In stores this would trade hands with all different types of collectors and backgrounds. From Bikers to the softer-spoken individuals who just craved pulps, these were testing boundaries that were then found in magazines. Great reads have been around since the start of print, but illustrations make it all the better!
Shout out to boardie Shadroch for the random Conan the Barbarian art, we've all got to start somewhere!
Complete with back cover picture of the Cimmerian sympathizer Conan, Saga #49, doing his best to hold it together. Sometimes sympathy has its perks, but the damsels seem to cling after the glorious issue cover of #1, of the first ongoing series and battle royale!
