Owner's Description

1st Appearance of Rachel (Phoenix II), Avalanche, Destiny, Pyro, and Alternate Future X-men! So many 1sts, you've just got to take it home and make it your own. I enjoyed the sarcasm of Pyro as a kid, and it seemed that him and Avalanche ended up like dumb and dumber a lot of the times. OOF! An end of days kind of story, cover, and over all feels. The last of the last, in another time and place, it would seem. Not quite a "what if" kind of story, it is a relatively cannon plot that would be played upon the early #200 issues. Sometimes it's not at all fake or misleading, a kind of going back to the well and telling of a possibility to be avoided. Given the recent Phoenix departure, here is the next kind of hope for the character, but is it the same or different? A tale of caution and warning. The Wolverine in those #200 issues will use his "teaching and experience" knowledge that he has ended life before, and it is NEVER WORTH IT, and after that he can barely stand to wait for an answer except to follow up with, "learn from 'his' reputation", whoa! Meanwhile Cyclops is back sipping a beer reminiscing on a beach somewhere looking to go forward, but at the time might not know how. Wolverine has his memories, and soon the future will catch up with him again, as the past will be put away.

Complete with a back cover picture of, Joe Jusko art from the Marvel Masterpiece Collection comic book, featuring how the Rachel Phoenix looked like and that almost leather studded red angst that was her namesake!
