Owner's Description

Origin and 1st app. of the Defenders. "Death"" of Yandroth. Baron Mordo appears in Doctor Strange backup story. What a whack a mole band of members. Like they all got together in the basement and said, "Let's fight crime!' Ha Even Dr. Strange thinks it is a good idea? Then the Hulk is in! Namor? Well, I suppose, and eventually the Silver Surfer too. This band of misfits comes out swinging for the fences, and they make a homerun in the first few issues. Enough of a hit to keep the series going 50+ issues in their own ongoing series. Here is their first brotherhood agreement and they discuss what will keep them together for ever. Like a bunch of hooligans, they're here to match brawns, brain, and a brash attitude. The misfits can make it work like the cool kids, see? Kind of like the song, "I wish I was one of the cool kids, because they seem to fit in!" Collecting brings the joy of the hunt, can't sleep on what you LOVE!

AS2 Miller Time and Real Men of Genius, remember those commercials?

Complete with a back cover picture of, "INTERMISSION!" It's about midway through the collection and the titles are staring at me, as if to say, 'ADAMANTIUM you are mid-grade collecting!'
