1st Rogue in an X-men Title! With her short hair and temper, she is punching her way to the doors of Xavier's School. She'll fit right in eventually, although she herself has "absorbing" powers, after her run in with MS Marvel, they seem new and permanent. The mother Mystique is keeping her daughter second guessing her actions, to the point of regret and life altering decisions being made, and to be a WOMAN is what Rogue will learn how to be for herself. The X-men have their first impression, and it will take some cooling off to make things right, although recompense for Rogue and MS Marvel seem afar off. Many brute emotions, that call to mind what tender mercies were not being afforded. Rogue keeps her attitude early on, until she comes to the end of herself, as a lot of break downs do at rock bottom. Bought from Reece comics for $122 shipped with coupon on Black Friday 2022. It WAS a deal and affordable!
Complete with a back cover picture of how I remember Rogue in comics! A picture of my scrapbooking days as a kid! Going from newcomer to coming into her own! A story full of love and tragedy, almost a favorite among the females. Another Mutant that continued to struggle in the control of her powers, a very moving yet heartbreaking tale.
