Owner's Description

Stan Lee story with John Buscema and Dan Adkins art, a Marie Severin cover! It looks a little different than the first couple issues where Kirby was front and center. That is all relative to the Stan Lee story inside, as he explores the space ways within this ongoing series. Silver Surfer has been showing off, rather showing that he too has morals and a stand for freedom. What happens when those ideals bump heads with a more established super-hero? The Silver Surfer shows his beginning strides to comprehend what being a super-hero entails, making friends along the way, and being sure to rebuild bridges rather than leave them burned. Could this be a Stan Lee internal struggle? See the Human Torch who is mostly earthbound in origin, teach as an example to show the true badges of honor that are only being fleshed out in the Silver Surfer character. I noticed when buying at Awesome Comics a Local Comic Shop that there seems to be a 19-cent sticker in the price box, and it is probably why it is only a fine condition graded CGC 6.0! Otherwise, the blemishes are few, so I'm glad to add the example to my collection.

Complete with a back cover picture of other type price "variants", but the raw and published kind, from Australia! Given to me by boardie punisherpunihserpunisher when he visited the U.S.A. Standing for those now Silver Surfer learned lessons of the "American Way!" Abroad those ethics are by and large attractive to visitors.

Grader Notes:
moderate cover tanning;
small sticker left top of front cover;
small tear left top of front cover;
small tear top staple.
