"The Kingpin Must Die!"

Our Hero is out for a nightly swing around town. After outpacing a jogger, DD ends up at Josie's bar just in time to hear Turk bad mouthing him. Turk makes a break but is eventually taken down and reveals that a five million dollar contract by the city's top crime bosses has been levied on the Kingpin. But the Kingpin is still in Japan!

At the new mansion of the Kingpin, he's enjoying a morning of beating up lackies. His wife Vanessa informs him that she will be going NY to hire Nelson and Murdock for the Kingpin's role as a stool pigeon against his former lieutenants.

In NY, Vanessa indeed is trying to hire Foggy and Matt when someone tries to rub them all out! Matt changes into DD and confronts an assassin he calls Bruno who has an interchangable right hand for various weapons. Bruno falls to his death and when Matt returns to the office he learns that Vanessa has been kidnapped!

Meanwhile Bullseye has been freed from City Jail. He heads to a meeting with Vanessa's kidnappers where in the middle of negotiations for his services ol' Hornhead pops in. Soon Bulleye forces DD out a window of the skyscraper! Daredevil tries everything he can think of to break his fall and ends up unconscious in a trash hauler.

Finally we see a farm on Staten Island. A single motor plane comes in for a landing. Armed men quickly surround the plane but they find it empty. And then it explodes killing the would be assailants and leaving the Kingpin to arrive seconds later to begin his revenge for Vanessa's kidnapping!

In this issue, longtime Marvel villain the Kingpin has his name revealed as Wilson Fisk
