There are milestone issues and then there are Milestone issues. For the New Mutants, issues 21, 50, and 60 were double sized. Those are the only ones that come to mind while I am writing this at work at four AM. Other issues like 25, 50, 75, and especially a 100 I considered to be worthy of that iconic designation. And that's where we are now, issue 75.
Sebastian Shaw has finally had it with Magneto. Erik has been trying to take care of the New Mutants and you can tell why Wanda and Pietro were better off without the Master of Magnetism raising them. As Erik and Sebastian battle it out, the New Mutants are encased in metal watching the fight.
I had this signed at Wizard World by the great Bob McLeod and I hope one day I'll be able to add John Byrne to the roster. The New Mutants wasn't just my favorite series, it was a great jumping on point with some really wonderful talent throughout the full run.
