Dave Stevens!! Showing up in style. These are keepers and other's that I can show love for, it's nice that these are still readily available. Finding them often has become difficult, but I need to get them while they last. Those yellow pair of covers are easy on the eyes as well.
Will there ever be a ground swell for these "common" classics?
Nothing common about the art! Curves rule the day, with a bit of "rue" even, as these have a fondness that has been around for decades!
 
Dave Stevens is the curator of his own style, inspiration comes and goes, but his lives on in many modern artists and genres. Almost more than a niche if you think about it!
Visions of models and many hours to "get it right", right? Those may be the convoluted passages that take the brainstorming of any creator, writer, or artist.
That isn't the end but a beginning or the workings and plot of some tales that knock sock's off.
Indeed, long hours is not to be scoffed at, for the limited recognition that would be paid earlier in time, but to live on in a way as to say, "That one was mine, I did that!" It echoes the sentiments of fans who have passed on that heritage, as well those who put the pen and ink to published print!
Dave Stevens was and is a great! I often give the most credit due to the innovation, but that becomes accredited to all media, and it is NOT just in film or the loudest that will prevail.

Dave Stevens is the complete package! The Boardie F for Fake piqued my interest in Dave Stevens by easily finding them in the dollar bins! I agree that the art is magnificent! Pin Ups that go well with "planes." Pin-ups seemed all the rage during the war plane era, with wars and other hobby related flights pilots would have females and other ephemera painted on their plane hull or wings! These covers signify the heroics and raw spirit it takes to be ready to "go" at a moment's notice. To take to the skies and prepare the cargo and complete the missions! These "all type" and all around "good-guys-and-gals" hope to have what it takes. A "foreign substance" had me worried in the graders notes though. The Stevens art makes good on the style for that era. Be it the 1980's, or even a little before or after, the man drew as he lived. He had seen a lot, in order to draw, period the end. Many emulated and praised his work, but not everyone is put equally on his level, except by fans. We fans love them all!
 Cards, Comics, and Video Games to the Beyond! Sure to melt the butter in curves and plots any way you slice it! Like a Psylocke issue or statue of an X-men or on to 3-d Air Adventures from independent publishers, and these are no match for the attraction that greets the eye! When it is Stevens and serious art, it cuts the mustard and is “in the zone” between the pages and ephemera!
In short, too good a back cover to replace it with something else! Looks fine all on its own.

Another Aerial adventure brought to us by the remarkable Dave Stevens. Yes, with the splash of a cover! Stevens takes to the skies with the smooth moody air currents of attitude and a bit of cave like backdrop features. These war-torn heroes aren't in chains yet, and it takes the savvy to keep their wits about them. A game of reasoning and imagination fits well on the set of the Dave Stevens Rocketeer and even the Airboy #5. CGC 9.2 keeps it read, but near mint as well. Bringing back to life the old, with a bit of new, too! Got to hand it to the era of the 80's for "big guns" and the nostalgia available for the times. Damsels are no longer somewhat the "distress of the situation", and are now fighting, as they had before, standing in purposed effort on the side of the "good!" Examples of role models are taking a turn for truth and honor, by the strength of their fighting fist and their gut! Stay tuned good warrior, there will be new avenues to learn of what the cost of battle brings!

Complete with a back cover picture of some of the doubles or triples, and some decent finds and reads. I found several at a used bookstore for a dollar a piece, which were great finds, and a few were gifted to me. While they were read and put away, I've managed to keep ahold of several, and now a near mint minus slab isn't bad!

They are somewhere in the imagination of the lunar and solar, but what will become of fellow adventurers that then find themselves among the stars? It takes the trip and busts out the hijinks of bewilderment and thrills that "expect the unexpected!" Those books are now playing on the science fiction of the past, but will they continue to create "new realities?" Passerby and those who long for home are taking up the action, and when portrayed by Dave Stevens it has the allure of the 80's and some 90's curves around the bend. Maybe play some Led Zepplin and pull up a highchair to the series that spoon feeds you tales with tails, all around the alien worlds! You have happened upon the eerie twilight, in the zone, or other sometimes off-guard adventure.

Bruce Jones & Dave Stevens stories. Ken Steacy & Bruce Jones art. Dave Stevens cover & art! The whole package and still ticking the waves of fancy like a countdown clock to rockets going to Alien Worlds. Dave is speckling the rainbow by taking his whims of imagination to new stories and heights with the covers to this series. R.I.P. It takes a one-of-a-kind person, in retrospect, to produce gains now nearly over 40 years past for the 80's conceptions of big guns and big sticks. Enter Alien Worlds where the women, while beautiful, are sly and cunning in the job of survival. Making worlds their own and portraying the seeds of purpose. Found it at Fan Expo Dallas 2024 for a cool $90. It was an eventful day making it memorable, and as the last two days of the con approach, those in tow are ready for the upcoming adventures of comic Dom and other fan favorites!

Complete with a back cover picture of the science fiction's own Gollum, from the Lord of the Rings! From a novel that has themes and morals of old, for it is a tale trying to tell or portray feeling, emotion of a "knowing" of that which may seem "alien" to us. To help win out over the supernatural seemingly, it only takes ONE who IS supernatural. It is true that today's science was yesterday's fiction, it bears true that outcomes CAN be avoided, clinging to the One who is Faithful and True.

Dave Stevens cover. Free the open air of a time and space when the west was cleared of coyotes and brush. A pioneer excellent spirit of cheerleading a then open market of rustlers and hired hands. Still bringing coffee and water was a healing testimony when nothing was available as earned but seemingly only the favored, while surviving in itself bore to those who waited on strength in the Lord and a courage that brings forth the fruit from the land. Tip your waitress and remember how those who earned their way still deserve their wages of hire, despite being last in line when it comes to earthly things. Subdued and remote it is the "wild" as so eloquently put in the movie Madagascar, where a friendly face and smile still seemed a virtue of patience, endurance, longsuffering, and quite right slick, the mellow yellow character of consciousness to get a job well done on their report card!
 Learning to hunt and learning to fish/hunt, these are western ideals that are brought through pioneers to comics of cheese. We have to get these kids and adults into the outside somehow or another. From "Homage Studios 'Swimsuit' Special!"
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of "Smurfs!" Smurf it up, on McCree Road, Galaxy 10! The Blue Meanies of old could not foretell when these gumby type teachers would speak to the village of support, like in older times when the common rule meant something. In an open trail with Dave Stevens and other childlike free-spirited adventures are freeing the rights to produce some type of order, to wit the God of order and not what-ifs or Chaos. Dave Stevens cover. Comico Attractions! Attracted to at a young age, at the sight during the 80's of well-planned actresses like in the Rocketeer and getting the gentle yet stern mark-up award for fighting the nazi's. Who are enemies worthy of the drudged reputation the ill of thought or their deed. A word of kindness, however, turns away wrath and needed for the next and any generations in order to be examples going forward of the formidable of self within writhing's. Worthy of being withstood in powers of the mind and loving to not be sparing the rod of ilk and or breed of self-indulged determination. That the brunettes weren't as fragile in man or as, yet woman, means the responsibility to take such consideration for the opposite way of viewing love, working a marriage and or relationships as such. The main focus being to prove as a lead in a laying down one's life for another, much as One loved the church. It is seen as weakness to those who do not know love, for others or themselves and can admittedly become crazed conception and of confession towards its own reward but seeking a higher spiritual good and right with morals and conscience to not ignore signs in being wary that tomorrow's trouble will find themselves to not need be worried nor looked for today!
 Women and Horses running free, not the time to keep a beat, while men and maidservants are keeping sober and vigilante! What a rewarding venture, these attractions.
Complete with a back cover picture of those attractions in the Medieval Times of aero adventures that took the fling of the day and captured the basis of flight for those that are able to know what goes up must come down. Not in the back streets by ailing assailants but by the skies of flights where the nights look crisp to a new victory by the damsels of starlight.

Dave Stevens cover. Seemingly a classic cover, but a little off kilter though. Still a great portrayal of Good Girl Art. Supposed to be Marylin Monroe and the effect of passing. These portrayals take us back to the uproar and celebrity status of old. A memoir and taking these stills to heart can be eye opening. Dave Stevens takes a serious attempt at giving insight to what it may feel like and resulting in what it may seem to look like, to be in an era gone by. Those serious issues and how they are viewed let us know the long conversation, and how it has been handled in "those days!" There is so much Marilyn Monroe information out there, even now an adaptation on Netflix, rated NC-17 at that, and I'm not sure the world will truly have a motif for it besides what has already been established. The rumor mill has swiftly, unfortunately, been the winner, and most of it is also confirmed, which is the sad part.
 I met Pamela Anderson for a photo op at Comic Con! I believe 2019, and she was decked out in a party dress the night before, which made me sad that it was spandex for the photo I had with her. I tried to get a picture of the Barbwire comic I posed with, as it may be signed eventually. She is a hard worker herself who has always been in media whether good or bad.

Mark Evanier story. Dan Spiegle art. Dave Stevens cover. Crossing genres and or ages of time that space had room in the hearts of bands, singers, their stories of 60's and 70's radio, is Dave Stevens art coming just as he is in true form. Rainbows and promises that would never flood a destruction prolong the infinite widespread love that this art form had in the minds of those would be fans. Catching a glimpse or a touch of cloth as my mom even did, these take those generational stories to illustrations of the like when times seemed in the moment but to not be forgotten when immortalized by someone like Dave. Bought from Local Comic Shop Titan Comics for $30 or so out the door, now slabbed in a clear and presenting like slab by CGC. It is looking up to completing these by crisp white pages with colors that pop and take us back to a simpler mind frame.
 I'm on a radio/radio and not all pipes are blowing unless an in person talking sort but when a King presents themself it is humbling as laid out prostrate for those kind faces to hear the singing of praise; whether by an own living testament of times that are not in our hands as once thought but are called upwards toward the reward. Radio Apocalypse?!

Warren Ellis story. Humberto Ramos & Sal Regla art. Dave Stevens & Adam Hughes cover. Money Shot, but by the mood of the everlasting Father? Dads themselves to this comic menagerie with Dave Stevens and Adam Hughes fitting the bill and fitting the settling mood here in October near Halloween, circa 2025. Not with the likes of witchcraft, God Forbid, but the foreboding dwelling cauldron all the same. To say everything is "shlak!', means to say of no value and of what comfort "you 'can' afford" when grace has not been forfeited and offers a glimpse of the grim grip and a gasping grasping groping in the darkness to celebrate the light. It isn't too forward a thought to progress as "art" but the birth of something anew in attraction is all the same as this way comes the candlelight, lest it be too firm a foundation and seemingly rocky a plot and the water ink wells not soften the heart of the earths around these words and worlds of pilgrim's plight. Off the map in a reflection the wonder of her eyes shows that it is too her day of being for herself an inward discussion by candles and that depiction a standalone artform.
 Prescreen before public, "AFTER THE HUNT!" Not a hunter of like Esau's stew or birthright scholarships comes the innuendo trippy thriller, now before seen and in the here and now, as when the hunt is to be continued all down the narrow and straight pathways into mystery! Starring Julia Roberts and a slew of others among the thoughtful plot writers with the fancy footwork with drama music to foreshadow their own types and shadows a glass darkly and turn, turn, turn, for to every season there is a time and purpose under Heaven.

Yes, it is a must see with chase scenes, get out your mental joystick to push some buttons of relief with the way the table spread out before you chatter the cycles of life and its seasons. Tron! Bruce Jones story. Dragan Flaesc art. Dave Stevens cover. Well remembered jungle sorrow with grief that pays the painted lines of those laws of the wild. Kids and family aside what abandonment remains but the solo career of a husband watching those fall to their own ways and desires. Comics, comics, comics, Dave Stevens R.I.P.
It all echo's the sudden destruction of peace by what amazonian call there is to follow the narrow and strait the sheep's gate that hear the voice, oh so gentle but comforting all the same from whence it came is like the wind of hills steep, rocks assured, clefts secured, leaping like hinds' feet.
Come what may it is all parallel to coloring inside the lines like saints of marching when the extraordinary are in that number, as many as possible are sent to the call of the field and able bodied or not there are prayers like tongues of fire cloven with rain for the weeping may endure for the night but joy comes in the morning. What pray tell is the peaceable fruit of the Jungle? Save the still small voice of the aged and willing to youthful gawk and gaze at some prolific abilities suffered and paid, thrill of the hunt, and the more than a conqueror attitude that is the call of the humbled wild alike.

Screenshot eyes, and the wonder of stared down penitent grace that present presence in the Local Comic Shop, however allotted. Back cover pin-up by Dave Stevens. Yo! Those winds blowing and harvesting and sowing! All while the art and crafts' reapers and planters await the next harvest, no matter the "madmen!" Dave Stevens and the soft-hearted pilgrim's progress the illustrated art well towards fishers of men as a slow build towards mountains and valleys of plot all the same. Those Dave 90's-character traits with "lines and one liner's" that had filled the pockets of the 80's and somehow beyond the 90's, taking their imagination and curving of headspace towards the creative spirit calls, as it moves. Moving the hearts and minds as a single-minded thing is to put the pen to the paper, but when the coffers of motivation and fruitful labor today are as dusty and with no seasoning due to the Dave Stevens R.I.P. in our hearts, we live to give it all away (RHCP), for praise anyway. "NO REMORSE!" ~ Metallica. "Seeking to not destroy", as the madmen "Jump in the Fire", and with other Metallica type scripted attitude! Even ZZ Tops' own Alligatored songs of honeysuckle album and lyrics type inspiration between the minds of crafts of this issues example show up and out as a read between the lines and so called out of the box descriptions. It recalls what is a "madman!?" "So *** loving what?" ~ Metallica strikes the melody to give and give again, and a character like Madman with humility is loving what now is the sweet nothings that are better than you, as "Nothing is better than You!" As a Gospel Song finisher, and not the "Better than You" filled maniacal attitude of angst Metallica that are in the roots of these 90's filled times of long-ago manmade attributes that swallow hard in retrospect some creative truth lessons. Madmen art Dave Stevens with equal morals taught.
 Madman are in all sizes; a bit Downtown Abbey of us to ponder, as like a Prescreen in the fall, in the rain, and towards those "mercy ships" (google it) that harbor all the love of new comic book day Wednesdays!
Complete with a back cover picture of the actual art by Dave this issue, as the furloughed wisdom is again askew for the betterment of healing sewers and back-alley ways, where the lost are brought in towards their "eternal redemption." "Comic" style in print or as a stand up, it winds around the bends of a 9.4.

Boingy Boingy type cover "heroes" with ballooned type muscles of just men faithfully pursuing their longevity among the brevity and of one accord being headlined among those type hero covers. Some heroics are the same whether they be wielding in a word are deed, by knowing the belief that calls. It is another's to will as well to do, while these issues are few in the chosen pages among the so-called living registries. As we live and breathe in the wedding type mood and last days of its "atmosphere" here this cold, dreary but bright in our hearts end of summer August circa 2025. Labor Day weekend and the relaxation that calls among those seeking retiring rest for their hard effort, well, from their labors, as we then find rest for our souls among these illustrated strengths! These are the portrayed words and deeds indeed of funny pages and comics, comics, comics alike. It calls to mind one's own view of the perception that our lives cast among this earth and with the attributed compassions and passions of those who would not tug on Superman's Cape or be a Lois Lane. With Elvis impersonator, a hole in the floor where the talent that was buried winds itself to the backdoor trap of the ill communication. A Dave Stevens production that takes time for the common man to show their tested nerve of courage and all around take down attitude under pressure! Learning curves with steadfast girlfriend Betty, that means these passions are going to take you to the honor of patriotic semblance. Dave coins a phrase a time or too, but the fisticuffs are on display when rocketing through the enemy lines, to keep innovative jet-pack technology under wraps! All in a day's work of an American with a gritty style, and the gumption to make it his own. Personal goals aside, we know the movie rocked and rocketed showing the era's style for the war abroad and how it felt at home, with everyone wanting to "do their part!"
 Riveting times of adventure.

Packing Heat!!! Dave Stevens. This cover has inspired artists like Adam Hughes, with Dave Stevens once again being the original. Classic Good Girl Art! With flair. Keeping with the vixens and the yellow covers! We've got to steam it up again and try to give the story some desirability. Mostly or at least sometimes found in the $1 bin, these can be tough to find in great shape. As near mint comes, these would have been flipped through and gaga'd over to the delight of readers. Comics like these stand the test as pleasing to the eye, and yet publishing has chosen to take covers like these, as of late, and make foil versions of them for mass production. In some cases, it has hurt the overall makings of what would be "harder to own" causing options easing the price of admission, but then again, the originals sometimes get more sought after depending on supply and demand, completists and those who count original as the "real thing."
 Young Love Is in Order! A Higher Order at that so Cherish It! Brought to us by a distinguished Mad Magazine artist, in black and white, "Father Knows Best" and "Make Room for Daddy" are not just tv shows in the pluralist sense but not pugilist either. It's my blood ~ Pearl Jam: "Regulators!? Mount UP!"
Complete with the back cover picture of the "screen" at the prescreen before released to streaming of, "Beverly Hills Cop 4: Axel F!" Foley back to show a family friendly stakeout party to learn and give heed to those who are in the line of fire, making a somewhat love for the profession. AXEL!! Knowing it takes any means necessary, in film, and also Eddie Murphy being the main focus who also was co-owner of "Planet Hollywood!" A dinery in the late 80's to early 90's that makes a generation remember the collaborative efforts of stars to make money but also share with the fans of the decade in comic, film, and with "planet" as the joining comradery when it came to art, food, and parties!

This Rocketeer issue has a Dave Stevens written story this issue to show the full scope of those adventurous flights of fancy toward saving those helpless and unable. Taking the character and bolstering the good and the right to keep on the firing line. Secrets kept and thwarted that were in the air and swept up, up and away toward the finish line. With the notorious Dave Stevens heading up the roster and scripting this self-proclaimed magazine title but in true comic book size. Complete with a back cover picture of other famous female characters, and some brunettes the same as famous Rocketeer's own Betty! Illustrated prints by Dawn McTeigue and obtained from the CGC boards raffle from boardie "Ron. C" circa 2024 into 2025. Many a curved line has marked up a page, but none quite as calm and simmering as Betty from the Rocketeer!
