1st appearance of Martian Manhunter-also see my Batman 78 in my Batman run. The book "says "file copy" on it--I assume that was done by a DC official.

Sort of get the idea about Batman during the mid to late fifties as a cartoon type hero-fighting in space and against dragons and aliens and doing time travels.
The 2nd picture is my reader copy.

1st Bat-mite. I have met Shelly Moldoff, his artistic creator, many times as he is retired in South Florida. Shelly was also cooperating on art with Martin Nodell on early Green Lantern sletch ideas, although Marty got the credit for the GL character.

The Zebra Batman, like the Rainbow Batman and other silliness, were reprinted in an 80 Page Giant Batman annual that I read from the mid sixties, so when I ran across a few issues (like this Detective 275) that originally published the story, they were fun to acquire.

Bat-Mite and Batwoman together. Colorful silliness. I loved the silver age batwoman character--she was definitely lost by the time of the new look. But she rocked in Batman and even World's finest covers as Batman's "super-heroine"
The 2nd shot is my reader copy of Det 276.
I am still looking for a cool CGC copy of Detective 233, the 1st Batwoman.

1st Clayface. Other than my copy of 225, without a doubt this is my coolest pre-300 CGC graded Detective issue!

PLEASE SEE THE MONTAGE picture: it shows a Pocket book I recommend with all first 300 Detective Covers, and it's introduction was written by another industry friend of mine, Joe Desris.
I have a similar picture (of Action covers 1-300) in my Action comics run under issue 300.
