Set Description:

Initially, PLEASE SEE THE PICTURE I added as the 2nd shot in Detective 326-this period marked the end of the "Bob Kane Batman as cartoon character" doing duty in outer space, time travel and the like. The picture there summarizes why the start of the New Look Batman in issue 327, is so important to me personally.

My Detective CGC run is based on my Batman criteria-I tried for 100 plus consecutive CGC graded Detective issues, using as a starting point a key date from my childhood--my 8th birthday in April 1964 marked the start of the "new Look" Batman (in Issues 327 of Detective and 164 of Batman).
Remembering that I own a complete run of raw Detective comics from 225 through 500, I started buying CGC issues (or having certain of my own high grade raw copies graded).

The run would be unbroken through the end of the (100 page) Giant issues ending with issue 445--some 10 years later. This period would encompass my comic collecting age of 8-18, so I thought that would make a nice period to shoot for.

Besides the 10 years of almost uniterrupted Detectives issues CGC graded, here were two other criteria:

FIRST: 8.0 or better CGC grade, (where possible) tougher to adhere to this for issues before # 300).

NEXT, have a non-CGC reader copy to accompany every book in my run.

So there are still a few blanks in my CGC copies but the run is impresive from #327 to the mid-400's era.
