Set Description:
Conan and Red Sonja make it pop in the battlefield and in the sauna. Make it hero or lover, these two have it in common, making it almost brother and sister? Eeeeewwww,! Glad Conan made the moves quick to not get friend zoned, it gets real, quips fly quick in the ThunderDome! Yes, it is a boy and girl relationship, fighting alongside or from afar. Often with common goals, these are the Barbarians that make the test or trial successful, who will benefit the most?
Conan is the Barbarian, and he has these here parts covered with his bicep, to keep the crime to a minimum, except what Conan takes for himself!
Therein lies the battle! The hope of a future with the vision laid out for the battlefield is broad and the heart is searched out. Not all can withstand a Barbarian. Not all have such disdain for the character on a whim, but such is the carnal man that takes life within it's hand and grasps or clutches to win, win, win. Conan and Red Sonja have proven with what lingering whit they cling, to thwart the oppressors and give others a "new" day. There are last call casualties, but they are at a minimum and often mourned and sorrowed over. That they may still live to tell of victory, the Conan and Red Sonja are a dual wielding duo of Barbarian spirit, for their wherewithal to make do with what they have obtained and are even sometimes content.

Origin and 1st appearance of Conan. 1st King Kull in cameo. THE Barbarian gets a series to bring much comic and movie success! I bought this raw at Keith's Comics for the low low price of $30. I bought it just to read, still a collectible to me! Worth grading and glad that I got it at a comfortable price! This book took a trip to the water park, yet with inevitable sturdiness took the grade like a champ. The most appreciated start to the bronze age? It's got the correct date as of 1970, this cover would spark interest and buzz in those times on stands. In stores this would trade hands with all different types of collectors and backgrounds. From Bikers to the softer-spoken individuals who just craved pulps, these were testing boundaries that were then found in magazines. Great reads have been around since the start of print, but illustrations make it all the better!
Complete with back cover picture of the Cimmerian sympathizer Conan, Saga #49, doing his best to hold it together. Sometimes sympathy has its perks, but the damsels seem to cling after the glorious issue cover of #1, of the first ongoing series and battle royale!
Grader Notes:
color lift front cover;
heavy rusted staples to cover;
large water stain full right of front cover;
large, heavy water stain full left of back cover;
light bends to cover;
moderate color lift left top of back cover;
moderate spine stress lines to cover;
moisture damage whole book;
small tear with crease top of front cover;
spine roll.

1st Appearance OF Thoth Amon (in cameo) a sorcerer. THE Awesome Conan the Barbarian who in this issue burglarizes a place only to not find what it is he's looking for, and instead has a "vision" of a Sorcerer! The Thoth Amon! A story that gives the heebie jeebies to those who might have seen a movie too young. Ah the 80's, it was muscles and rock, of course Barbarians too! All boys wanted to drive their enemies before them and hear the lamentation of the women lol. What a line from Conan, of just how Barbaric life in times like these would be. Time is on our side, now, or today? We can still have fun reading of the "heroes" of old! I really get a kick out of the Big Art in the Conan Treasury Editions, now that is Conan up close and personal. Those taglines like, "seeing your enemies driven before you" do kind of speak to older times, but similar in scope to today.
Complete with blood and pain of the Conan on a rampage! The pic added as the back cover slot, of where it is displayed in the comic room, for easy pick up and read fashion!
Grader Notes:
light crease right center of front cover breaks color;
multiple crease right bottom of back cover;
spine stress lines.

1st "cameo" appearance of Red Sonja. The story shows the Red Sonja and just who is she? A 1st cameo appearance! I got this at Half Price books, but alas no coupon for this book, I had to pay the full $15. Here is looking at you kid! Sweet! There was even a movie with Red Sonja, ah to have the Barbarian passion to keep to the fighting. Slender and sleek, with skill and power, female warriors make the fight for the honor bestowed. These flashes of fancy strike hard and fast! The Conan has now found someone as skilled as himself. Sometimes he can think of himself more highly than he ought, yet here in red, is an equal that may just somehow surpass in greatness, ability, and strength of her own. To Battle! For the Kingdom! Charge! Getting out in front or from behind, your choice, but rest assured, one-two Conan is coming for you! Three-four Red Sonja knocks down your door!
Complete with back cover picture of some swanky Conan Saga covers by Neal Adams! The greats really came out in style for Conan. The sheer strength that this guard is about to face on the 1st cameo of Red Sonja is equal to a thousand Sabretooth's!
Grader Notes:
crease right bottom of front cover;
crease right top of front cover;
light crease left bottom of back cover;
light spine stress lines to cover;
small crunch left bottom of spine;
small crunch right top of back cover.

1st "full" appearance of the Red Sonja! Nice with Ebay bucks, and a decent NM- copy. Some would argue that she had a full enough appearance in Conan #23, but here the story is continued to its full potential! Fighting alongside Conan the Barbarian. If there is ever a class on how to wield a broad sword, I'm dressing up as a Barbarian and taking it! These characters showed what it meant to fight with raw intensity. Passion and Zeal will get you so far, but in the end instinct and will, will obtain a further forward movement. From Hell's heart they stab at thee!?! Move to the left and to the right, all while forwarding the battle cry, to keep at it from dusk 'till dawn! Will these tales ever make you want to get out in the "wild?" You'd think you could trust a horde of "Hungarian" Barbarians? Sheesh, this may be over the top with cleverness and gut punches!
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of, "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare!" Starring Superman's own Henry Cavill! The most treacherous battles are over the top, whether it be in World War or even in the Barbarian times! Those are the lessons by which we learn what we are made of within ourselves and with peace as the goal, as well, and is determined by whatever rules of engagement there are within those realms to where Peace Can Reign Our Hearts and Minds! Never Give Up the Hope Within You!
Grader Notes:
light creasing to cover;
light spine stress lines to cover.
