Set Description:
Spelunking.
Give me the campy theatrics of old, for the fundamentals that make comics what they are. Where Science is fiction, and the "Super-men" are the things that make sense. Give me a Krypto dog for man's best friend and a back-to-school vibe! Dating back to mid-century 1900 even, this series has all the oldie, but goodies! If there ever was a date stamp on these comics, I'd melt inside. Meet the humble beginnings, with the Super-boy and his dog Krypto!
There have been many iterations of the "KRYPTO", although the original strikes as the most humbling man's best friend that has been with us a long time! For Krypton!
Adventure Comics is just that, a place just outside your front door and past the action of comics that you've read before, and beyond Superman, beyond the comfort of "gentleness", to a bit more of eerie. It isn't quite a "detective" portrayal but a quiet offspring from the Action Comics, in like continuation under a different moniker. Adventure being the key and springing board as a spin-off that is meant to give the idea, that now you already think you are a "hero" such as Superman? Well, what do you think of these "comic" twists?? What continuation is possible? What generation is there to leave these tested morals, statutes and guidelines?
Save for the adventurous and the advantageous to go out and make the world a better place!

1st try-out of Aqua-Girl, centerfold detached. How did it happen? Well Krypto must have had lunch teacher! Complete with the campy style and the fundamentals of comics! Got to love the dog eat dog of yesteryear, even when Superman died there was a fan with a dog named after Superman's canine that was written into the story. Krypto as the original, we can take that payoff again all day! Loving the humor in this cover, it's similar to a dog licking your face, HA! Dogs are essentially tattle tales sometimes. Ruh-Ro! Move over Super-boy there is a new "dog" in town :) Keep with the classics. Those were the qualities looked for, oh not so long ago either! Traveling around through space and time. Even Super-boy and Superman seem to have encountered it all, but that life accounted for has known the way, the truth and the life, and even "man's best friend!" America the brave! Don't let anyone tell you different, they'll come around after a while!
Wristbands carve out stamps for prescreens. Mom's.

The 1st somewhat live action movie was done by the popular Christopher Reeves, that came back for several more, and while the television live action was in the rearview.
Complete with a back cover picture of a prescreen pass to the movie Aqua-man and I let my brother use it to take a friend, they were kind enough to have a blast and bring me a poster back from the screening for free. Prescreen pass is the back cover picture! Proudly hung the poster, however, in my comic room as a memento, and I hear there we're plenty of "Aqua girls" in the movie!
Grader Notes:
detached centerfold;
light bends to cover;
light pieces out to cover;
light tears to cover;
moderate creasing to cover;
moderate spine stress lines to cover;
moderate wear all corners of cover;
moderate wear all edges of cover.

2nd appearance of Mordru. White Witch appearance. Jim Shooter story. Curt Swan and Jack Abel cover and art. Who is it with the mad skills around every corner like a manhole of TMNT power, it isn't the witch but a Mordru dreaming of his 1st Mordor appearance in Adventure Comics. To think that he could be used in the timetable of what now would be considered early on, with a Mike Tyson's type punch out in the mindset of a Superman. Pretty Tide up with an allergic reaction to good deals as we head out this day to Titan Comics. Not an adventure nor sojourn per se, when we know we belong in kind to the One who is and has us in "as is" condition with this CGC 1.5 to come. Hope and hoping for the usefulness in humility to still add this loved addition edition to my registry, as the song plays me off the stage. Legionnaires for numerous Acts 1, KJV, toward and forward set apart in those of "Anti-Crime", with McGruff in the doorway above taking a Bite out of Crime" to now "Go for Real!" Thank you for keeping off those substances.
No, Know, no, know, and down the Drano, as something to drink in the rolling of eyes at this grade in the "wild", Bella of Beauty and the Beast with some Elven queen from The Rings books can now rest easy that no more pride is equivalent as an owner in the registry.
"What in cornbread, Hail!"
Complete with a back cover picture at the screening of the prescreen before released publicly of, "Jurassic World!" A coming together of some leather faced dino warriors that try and scare up some drama on a weary park visitor. Signs say don't touch.
Grader Notes:
multiple crease right bottom of front cover;
Spine completely split.

Origin and 1st appearance of Black Orchid (Susan Linden-Thorne). Doctor 13 backup story. Dawning the night, with cape and cowl, as it is expedient to swiftly assess the situation! Susan, as the Black Orchid, is finding her own as the detective of the town. Needing to find the right answers she decides to incentivize herself, when wanting the job done right where else can you start? Does she then prove that instinct correct? With what imaginative exercises will she find herself capable? Sneaking out the night window and into the open air, she is determined and sticking to her proverbial Moxie having an adventure all her own. Bought from eBay for $153 shipped, it is a novice and rookie offering to the collection. After finding the book raw and in the wild, but not in grade enough to submit to CGC myself, it is down to the reminiscent of the "find" after the thrill of the hunt to now buy already slabbed! Date Stamp on the cover in tow.
Study books show that "Black Orchid" is more accustomed to being used as a background character.
Complete with a back cover picture of the "screen" at the prescreen before released to theaters of, "Killer's Game!" Starring Dave Bautista and Sofia Boutella. A contract killing is on the mind, but it is the hitman himself who got a bad doctor's report and needs the courage to end it. After the doctors' results show he is in fact not dying after a mix up and the contract on his own head already established, it is now an adventure to end the results! Doctor's Orders!
Grader Notes:
miscut bottom of back cover;
piece out left top of back cover;
creasing to cover;
spine stress lines to cover.
