Set Description:

These are the Joe's! They're real American Heroes, they've got it together to go up against Cobra. The Joe's came on in the 80's, the cartoon, the action figures, and the toy business was booming then. With the likes of Jim Lee, Larry Hama and others at the helm, we'll make heroes of them yet! Those dreams of days gone by, have not died, they still live true. Especially in the hearts of the youth, but also in consumerism. Yes, indeed, we are suckers for the toys that all can play and transfer our imagination too!

USA! USA! USA! That is the "Yo Joe" Model of Execution, but if the enemy has their way, we'll be saying hail to a different commander. Must keep to the battlefront and Yo! JOE!

Based on the Hasbro toy line, these characters are based in the minds of the creators. Larry Hama, Jim Lee, this series is overrun with talent to get things running. Almost zillions of ideas split up between figures, vehicles, and the endless plastic crack, movies, these comics are treasured as well! As beloved this book is, I'm surprised that I didn't pick it up sooner. My good friend boardie Stormshadow_80 was all over it. I enjoy the nostalgia too, having a cousin who had a FLAGG to play with, and me almost falling on it as a kid because it was on the floor lol Man, he was proud to have that thing. Those were actually gifts for kids, I'm not sure that anything compares to that today in the "collectables" market or in the way of action figures. It is forever young in the minds of collectors, even from 50+ years ago, time goes on for those in service of this country in particular!

Complete with back cover picture of the first appearance of Destro in issue #14, a 2nd print unfortunately, picked up from the dollar bins, but which made for great reading nostalgia!

1st appearance of Storm Shadow. Silent issue. This begat a feud, but not among a family with Steve Harvey, this is just the battle of the century with two not needing words to interact. That is a low blow to the psyche, and it can keep in step also as beneficial for the aim and need for the battle! Assassin? Ninja? Keeping in lock step with the art of STEALTH, that can mean that only the greater good can be involved, but perhaps a higher power as well. Time is on the side of truth, justice, and the American Way! Yo! Joe! Life is finicky and we can't always control everything in our lives, but the instant reflexes rely on the guttural instinct to strike! Such is the need when no words are formed, and we are left speechless with instinct. Stormshadow is the somewhat opposite of Snake Eyes, and yet is still the same. What breed of warriors that earn respect through fancy footwork? Bought this 2023 at Fan Expo Dallas 2023 again from Monster's Lair Comics an LCS, for a lowly $190 in cash.

Complete with a back cover picture of some "PoP's" that I've accumulated from trips to GameStop. This time it is Shipwreck, the goody two shoes of the bunch. Yo! Joe! G.I. Joe, that means the rope is the tie that binds, as the cover to issue #21 shows and needing only one more to make a threefold cord and to not be easily broken! A Real American Hero!
