Set Description:
Just say, "AH!"
Adam is at his finest and been at it a long time, but that Hughes trademark is hard to pass up for some. With such a large amount of work, and all of it usually collectable, it's tempting every time to read and reread! Yes, maybe even drool? There were inspirations he had, even the great Dave Stevens, Hughes has made a name for himself as well. Be sure that there is more to come from Hughes and collectors alike, can't get enough!
Coming down the Computer Bunny Trail? Art. But not as much within a conceptual way but that is as with a personal touch. Humans do create humanity, A.I. OR A.H.! but the lessened involvement is then that the lessons become fewer towards the viewer, pursuer and peruser.
Adam Hughes has a repertoire spanning many an era and genre. His work is regarded as lustrous and vibrant, world renowned!
The times for the Hughes can start in the late 80's up into late but early 2000's and counting. Those testaments of years gone by show progression, love, and the yearning for continued inspiration. Adam has been in the circuit for this long, and with relative new ideas of illustrating them, that are long deserving of a collector's eye, desire, and even to a texture of color when his wife enhances a sketch for signature series at comic cons. This team has seen both some good times and bad but have reflected their joy within their hearts to in turn share that comradery with others in an artform as wonderful as comics, comics, comics!
While most of Adam's sketches are simple, his published style rivals impressively and with many a fan, collector, and with fervor.

AH! Signature Series done on 5/27/17. Figured I wanted one of these issues signed, Adam Hughes signature series. It seems Catwoman is up to old hijinks! Hush is becoming the go to character at this time, around the issues of the Batman #600's. It just wouldn't be complete without Catwoman and given her reputation, the Batman needs to look after and care for Justice! With the thievery that the Catwoman seems to be addicted too, we could call it compulsory lol. It is the usual for her and Bat's, but who is this "Hush" character, and how does he fit into the scheme of things? A cool signature series memento and taking it to heart for the collection. I've got more Hughes in my sights that may be obtained soon! Woo-Hoo! Back to the basics for the Catwoman and Batman's relationship, with similar pining after each other when they think the other isn't looking.
Everybody tries to get their hands on the "Cat!" The "magic" is more a passion and adrenaline, but those were among both villains and heroes in time.
Those are fighting words, indeed more tug of war Original Art, brought to you by a Mad Magazine published artist.
Complete with a page from Adam Hughes Sketch Book that was also a cover and insides to issue #57 of this Catwoman run. It is nice that he thought enough of the story to include it in a culmination book of his art. 9 lives lived for this Cat that now take up multiple decades!

Cat burglar. The boardie Kevhtx told me about this cover, and it is how I discovered the Adam Hughes run on Catwoman. Striking covers all of them! Well cool cover or not, I sure didn't know how to pick books, slabs, and etc. off Ebay early as a noobie. Still respectfully, the cover does present well. Catwoman is the same, only sexier drawn by Hughes. Given the period, it's up to about the halfway point of the run, and that is nothing to diminish. A long run with any same artist and or writer is quite the achievement in comics. With no press I'm sure, although I did buy it already slabbed, it could be that the 8.0 is improvable. We've all taken lessons in this market, but that cover is undeniably cool, if the price is right! It isn't always a contest, but it takes the passion and or drive to dive in and test the waters with sellers and areas of interest.
She is like the moody blues, or a mood stabilizer, but not enough to stop pilfering.
Complete with a back cover picture showing the last issue of this series done by Adam Hughes, as the cover of the Catwoman in her free loving lifestyle. A cat's a cat and that's that!

Adam Hughes the Dirty Pair, a Dave Stevens Planet Comics Homage. Nice to grab and sexy as well for what it is. Dave Stevens the pioneer was a hard worker, here Adam Hughes gives it a shot, although the two had collaborated before, Stevens has passed on. Adam Hughes calls to mind the great and pens to paper another "Dirty Pair!" I got this at Fan Expo Dallas 2022 for about $150 all in. I traded ironically a Dave Stevens Airboy #5 to get $25 off this issue of Dirty Pair as a raw, then the cost to grade. Really, I only expected it to get 8.5 and thought I lost money on it, but it was a great representation regardless and I'm thankful for 9.2! Woo-Hoo! A worthy copy! Did NOT have it pressed but there you have it, another dealer found at the con with worthy attitude and books! That is the fun of going to comic cons, when a practical thing is a budget, there is usually something in any price range, and that is why all the money gets spent so fast. This Dirty Pair with title and like flirtation, in some decades would also be the like to have a pin-up or centerfold!
One Fast Move! As opposed to the wrong one, or the right one, depending on the window half close or open philosophical.
Complete with a back cover picture of the "screen" at the prescreen with those dirty pairings in, "Shotgun Wedding!" Starring Jennifer Lopez and supporting cast, seen at the Alamo Drafthouse, and whose theaters have been bought out by Sony, who produced Venom, after threatening foreclosure. It takes a revitalization, as a dirty work clean up, and shows signs of life as the jet after burners bring on the catch 22 of shotgun blues! Shotgun Blues! Said, "I don't know what I did but I know I got to move! Got you blowing smoke, bet you're one big joke. Me I got a lot to learn, and I'm still waiting for the heads to turn." G'N'R!

Adam Hughes Cover of a Bad Mama Jama! Delivering some high-octane art, of a woman that keeps after it! Likely to be after the cartoon version or at least I think it looks depicted that way. She has two guns and ready to roll. Happy to be able to have it in the old collection. She was hot even as a kid and gave the eye candy appeal. She wore glasses and struck as a nerd all suited up. Ruthless that is the word. Arguably worse than Cobra Commander, in my opinion, but who is to argue. The 80's gave us all a surprise with bringing back the G. I. Joe action figure and with the cartoons, made ever so relevant. A lot of lives were immersed, and this gave a tangible way to connect with family members in the service, and or friends of friends. Schooled when you are young, and when you are old you don't depart, or it takes an extra special truth to turn the dial.

Bam! Bam! Bamba Lamb!
Complete with a back cover picture of the hat and extra-large t-shirt I scored at the prescreen of the new Top Gun movie, Maverick! Should pair nicely given the overall tone was military and the well-received reviews. My brother had not seen the first installment, but he didn't have enough good things to say when it was over. "So Cool!" He elaborated more than that too! Statue Slinging, Guns Blazing Hot!

Hughes Cover. Sheeeeee's Johnny! Finally, an Adam Hughes cover where the woman is not in "surprise face!" Harley Quinn seems to know right where she is and what is normal in the "padded" room! This cover does NOT remind me of my Junior High Girlfriend, but it does remind me of the way I felt about the Girlfriend at that time. Sometimes it's best to expect the unexpected. This cover is a little "off" in my opinion, like something is not quite right, which kind of works for what it represents. Sometimes we're delivered lemons and the best we can do is serve tequila! I don't believe it was pressed upon submission, but I am not the original submitter though. That book is hardly ever available in the "wild" and especially in person, depending on what area of availability is discussed. Local Comic Shops maybe, at Comic Con probably somewhere, otherwise only online.
She needs a good night sleep, to say the least when Hughes draws out the bright ideas for covers!
Complete with the Harley Quinn Arkham Knight GameStop paperweight statue, as the back cover picture. I bought this early on when getting back into collecting in 2016. I still have the box, although it is smaller in stature for a statue, it still has some finer tuned details! I have a lot of the boxes for my statues, a closet full, even the Sideshow ones, and those are huge! This cost $60 and is of a game that was popular, that came out before the Suicide Squad film.

Hero Initiative benefit book. 2 different covers exist, 1 by J. Scott Campbell & 1 by Adam Hughes. I bought this early on when back to collecting, because I was enjoying the view! At cover price it just made sense, and who doesn't love a sun kissed sweater artillery cover, the Lord's army, yes sir! Well, taken back to Sunday School with this one, that infiltrates the minds of readers by discussing none other than a Tomb Raiders plight. On land and on sea, this is to take it to the street with firepower. Living Lavita Loca when there is time for trekking across beaches or sand dunes. It is not as easy to think it fun, but it sure looks the part. Bought from LCS Titan Comics, with an Adam Hughes cover that is easy on the eyes to pull out the wallet. A Hero's Initiative book that is marketed to help those who need a helping hand, published and distributed as such to the liking of collectors.

"Right into the Danger Zone!" ~ With Adam Hughes and Kenny Loggins.
Complete with a back cover picture of the "screen" before released publicly at the prescreen of, "Expendables!" More sun kissed lines that wipe away fatigue and rub the bad guys and gals face in the dirt. A one two punch for those explosions as an over-the-top variety. Calling out today's youths from the minds, guns, and big-name billers. Freedom wasn't free, when calling on, "calvary and even in the infantry!"

AH! cover SS by Adam Hughes on 5/27/17. Another Awesome Power Girl Cover! JSA this time (Justice Society of America) by the awesome Adam Hughes who poses her out for a flight stroll lol I'm happy to have a different looking cover! and it is Signed! Power Girl is maxing and relaxing with her cape, outside of the school. Taking pictures with planes and all that. Who doesn't wish to look up out of a plane and see the gorgeous female. Still the insides could use one book full interior done by Hughes. They are the Justice Society of America. If we could get some plot, some constant moral, and some dialogue that makes it worthwhile! I have a sketchbook by Adam, that has some Power Girl, and admittedly it's not probably comic book material. There are times when something "new" or at least new to you comes out and it is a must have upon desiring, then comes collecting.
So many acronyms within comics, comics, comics!
Complete with a back cover picture of the Justice League of America novel, who followed the original "JSA" by a multiverse of sorts. Who gave tutelage to the "JLA" and now to the newly found Adam Hughes "JSA Classified?!" These father and mother figures are brought around by surviving original Justice Society members, mostly, now J.L.A. show the ropes anew as in days of old! A novel cover of an idea, "Exterminators!"

Adam Hughes! Peek-abo! I got this early on when back into collecting, read it, and put it away. Bought at the Local Comic Shop Titan Comics for about $3.50, there is a running joke at tree-fiddy! Fun read, a bit like lady Zorro, but with her own coined persona and title. She gets by giving to charity and not having her secret identity found out! Classic super-hero written style, and with a name like the Lady Rawhide, I was pleased that it was "set in the olden days type setting!" Whether it just be the country or back in time, this rough neck rider makes it seem like adventure around every turn, and that makes for the kinds of stories that are enjoyable. Intrigue! Keep them coming from Hughes, for example Lady Rawhide and Tomb Raider, these are the kind of attractions that make it to film! Those are reads that come to life with a bit of modern interpretation, and it is surprising how much creators "get right!"
Wristbands carve out stamps for prescreens.
Hughes did several throughout this series!
Complete with a back cover picture of a prescreen pass to see a movie before it comes out in theaters, the classics of "Puss in Boots: Last Wish!" Basically, the only other Zorro/Rawhide type memorabilia I have! Still with voice actor of Antonio Banderas, too, which was also the actor of Zorro, and that all can culminate into Lady Rawhide. Head'em up, move'em out, RAWHIDE!

Hughes "RRP" edition. Red Foil. Dynamite is the comic distributor, which is similar to Marvel and DC, but was new to me when I bought this issue. They decide what cover or issue will be its RRP and the cover details, they can have small variations when printed. I found this at Titan Comics, where I used to submit my comics to CGC, before I got my own submission account. All I had was $50. I bought it as a raw, and it was priced exactly around $50 with tax! It was a good day at the Local Comic Shop! The owner had just got it in, and it was the first I'd seen of the cover. I like Adam Hughes, he mostly does females with surprise looks on their faces, but this seemed that Red Sonja was minding her own business and had wanted to be left alone. I enjoy the fact that she seems to be about to get in a workout! Who doesn't love ALE by the sweet candlelight!? Submitted to CGC through that shop I believe as well, the 9.6 was a head scratcher at first, yet looking at it in hand, understandable. The "red foil" type label notation was new to me as well, but the attractive cover is what sold it!
Nothing beats a "RED: Special Edition!" A lot of that going around lately.
Complete with a back cover picture of similar Red Sonja Dynamite issues, with art by Jim Lee and Dell Otto! Who would have thought we would have those kind of "heavy hitter" artists on the very same book or Comics from Dynamite, ha! All we need now is a J Scott Campbell signature floating around somewhere, ha-ha!

SIGNED BY ADAM HUGHES ON 4/27/25. Long days at the LCS put an end to the wintery mix and precipitation on a break in the weather. Traded in $50 worth of bronze to the LCS for the owner to be able and keep that brick and mortar open as a back breaker marvel! A fresh warhead type of somber cover explosion to get there fast to get "the stuff!" ~ As eloquently put by Kevin Smith reminiscing about comic cards, which this AH! cover could do very well to perform. A gradable signature in card, slab, and or comic as otherwise another drive through LCS song and dance. Shaking the dust from those heels and legs to make sure the bending curves of the roads as of these early renditions of Adam when just getting started stay safely secured in their place. Seen as a bit blocky with thickly line, but these can still bust at the seams for artily poetic duties. Death behind and standing as something froward, is as some creeping close rounder to avoid, while Hughes art is seen as heavenly praised and wifely adorned. At the back door of She-Hulk's heart and blanketing the atmosphere, a turn down sweater and is with a vesting interest as one's own desires. Kudos.
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of the movie, "The Wrecking Crew!" Starring Jason Momoa and as a sobering turn down, which is in and of itself a breaking up onscreen, as does everyone when pronouncing the good of movies yay or nay. Humility is as the joy set out before us with the wine and roses endured like date night flicks, to sit back and watch the grapes of wrath, which seem a hard truth, too, but ring Hallowed in movies for Jason or as me a dad joke with "Momoa!" As a lawn is in short order to be kept. Looking ahead at the yard, husbandly duties as me a single man, the Spring, and the coming cleaning of the house and or other worked out lists of duties, AS A WRECKING CREW! A heartbeat away. "The stuff of beauty!" Hopefully onlookers can appreciate.

Tomb Raider Hughes Cover. Seems another series where Adam Hughes has a long cover run. This one is my favorite, a Titan Comics find, the fact it came back 9.8 makes me ecstatic! It's all about the thrill of the hunt! While Lara slips into something more comfortable, she keeps the gun cocked! Can't be too careful in these here parts. They come for the treasure, but I think that the wisdom of the Tomb Raider will prevail. Relevant as ever and with past times in the culture of exploration, Lara keeps her wits to discover new treasure and new dangers. Making it day to day, there are certain things that she has grown accustomed too. The nitty gritty will always be in line with her instinct during her journeys, as I read, I hope that it is all for the benefit of getting the History and Knowledge. As Indiana Jones said, "This belongs in a museum!" Then came the punch of a lifetime to continue the "journey!"
Everything is bigger in Texas, but it takes some civility and southern charm to keep those gentlemanly duties, when "California is the place, you ought to be! The first topless "act" loaded up and moved to Beverly." A prescreen that was a pin of circumstances to take the stage by storm as "Dora at the Condor" was documented and raiding the tombs of minds with those going forward.
Complete with back cover picture of the prescreen pass to see the movie before released to theater of, "Den of Thieves 2: Pantera!" Quite fitting for those Tomb Raider books, that speaks to pulling off the heist, getting in and out, sometimes before the rivals, and undetected. Starring Ice Cube and others that takes it to a whole new turnout like caper!

Fiona Avery story. Johnson & Jay Leisten art. Adam Hughes cover. The outfit says it all as a Tomb Raider means having those reader copies graded. Rounding out this set and bought early on for cover price when back into collecting from Local Comic Shop Titan Comics! Perched and ready to drive home those treasures of any kind, when it comes to tombs that is, and keeping armed and ready for poachers and the like. Lara Croft is her name, taking up the knowhow and making it seem a priority for museums by finding and curating, sometimes at a cost. Would love to have more iterations, and many covers by one Adam Hughes. It leaves you in the driver seat of a Humvee for those offroad adventures. Like the outdoors calls and beckons, we will one day need to heed the whisper of treasures not thought of on this earth, where moth, rust, and other are not thought for robbery.
The first face of the adventurer in film, and among those cast, so far, it still ranks pretty high as in the first movie, starring Angelina Jolie! This cover is the suit of the video games and movies alike.
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released publicly to see, "The Outfit!" Taking those gangsters and thievery to show that they can't all be successful every time. Sometimes it takes those from without to see a bigger picture of the masks being worn. Lara has her get up and she is known for freewheeling in khakis and a tube top more often than not!

Flipbook w/ Jeremiah Preview. Lara is back with some intertwining's of a mystery and call to action, setting a light on the torch to catch those unawares and not be caught off guard herself! The outdoorsy type and again sporting Khakis and the overall feel of looseness, but the cover calls to mind the true stress and nerves it takes on when protecting or seeking treasures. A "raider" must be cautious and take her reputation into account; she doesn't want to preempt a struggle except to win. Trust is hard to build, and it has proven her tried and true, one has to believe. Complete with video games and other ephemera or even film. Bought for cover price early on when back to collecting from Titan Comics. It is time to suit up and have some readers graded, but that all fills out the set, as well tells of treasures to find and bin dive!

Complete with a back cover picture of the "screen" before released publicly at the prescreen of, "Ready or Not!" A horrid tale of hide and seek that finds a newly betrothed seeking to survive so she can marry into the family of what can only be called a cult. To escape being her only goal, she finds herself as the treasure they seek, but she proves to be a woman who is capable, such as Lara. Speak no evil and you will do well, as this movie apparel shows the consequences of you are what you eat, but Lara shows you end up what it is you seek. Adam Hughes Cover! We don't always land on our feet, but we keep tackling the big issues, as we live and breathe. Knocking us down means we could be winded, and what will escape the Lara Croft as a Tomb Raider, except to be ready to leap again. Sometimes those paws of the obstacle claw at our backs, but Lara has in herself some experience to deal with most, but it is exciting to otherwise read about and catch up on! Those readers are now summarized in slab form and some pretty and Near Mint examples. Bought for cover price early on when back to collecting from LCS Titan Comics, that has put a smile on this collector's face to show that we miss but sometimes do hit the goal. Long to have those feelings of bin dives when out and about, and with fewer places with a random extra comic lying about, it is still a "never know when or where" that the next hunt will come!
Black is slimming.
Complete with a back cover picture of the "screen" at the prescreen before released publicly of, "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish!" Voiced by Antonio Banderas and showing the paws of everyone's favorite Zorro type feline. What beast has bested Lara on this cover? Last issue. Adam Hughes Lara Croft cover! Nice to go in my registry with the Journeys #1, which is a 9.8. Kind of completes a beginning set, Hughes has Lara Croft down pact. Sitting on the beach raring to go, just show me the whites of the eyes, and I'll put down the glass of wine and give what for! Looks good in a crystal clear CGC slab though. I'm thankful to have an interest in the Tomb Raider franchise: movies, video games, and comics; all brought fresh ideas to spelunking. Treasure hunting or just archeology in general would be all together time consuming, and keeping in shape to stop would be thieves, that is just all together overwhelming. It inspired many I'm sure to grow and find a vocation with the idea of adventure and exploring in mind. The problem is as there are a lot of fields of expertise that are trying to "find" new venues to compete in, it is agonizing! With Lara Croft Tomb Raider now able to relax in the Last Issue #50.
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released publicly of, "The Beach Boys!" A treasure hunt in its own right by way of a documentary describing the golden sounded waves that call to mind those vacation days! Even a raider of tombs needs the melodic relaxation that hops, skips, and jumps away the blues of melancholy towards the sip and relaxation, of the sandy beaches instead of pyramids or vined jungles of her usual day to day!
