Set Description:
It is time to fly! For the ever so popular head of any team Superman. That is what it takes to be a humble hero in the DC universe, and no one is comparable to the 90's style than Jim Lee. He's a Superman Artist, not a Pool Man: to paraphrase Ace Ventura Pet Detective! That is the comradery when looking at the old isn't it? Have fun and collect what you like! Plenty of that kind of love to go around, and Superman has the longest run at it, up-up-and-away!
Superman is often the center of attention, except when he is the news reporter Clark Kent, then he'd rather take a back seat, and even then, he somehow makes the front page edging out Lois for the scoop of a story!
Many slips between a cuff and a wrist, but with Clark Kent rolling up his sleeves to be a Superman by all means reporters abound within the Daily Planet. Given that moniker by fellow worker Lois Lane the lineage lives on in a mild-mannered spectacled colleague. Lex Luthor and the like jealous or out of spite lives to make a hero take courage but is actually of the hero and the good by the right, not the villain. Save the "news" reported are often by the self-made hand, we need only look to the people that have faith in what the good and the right can bring! Heroes at the forefront by any means possible, keep on the firing line! There are many battles, which we all must face, if we die still fighting it is no disgrace; cowards in the service should not have a place! Superman becomes Supergirl, becoming Supermen, and on to Jim Lee among other artists to keep it all ongoing!

Brian Azzarello story. Jim Lee & Scott Williams cover & art. Had a raw from the dollar bin, and this is not it, but this slab was bought from Awesome Comics circa 2023 for $55 out the door. A bit of an upgrade to my raw you might say, but it doesn't beat going and talking shop at the LCS. Some good deals to be found in the market, but Jim Lee is as classic as any, with the flowing of the cape and a muscle-bound hero! There is a Batman variant that compliments this, although it is rather pricey, we all need more documented Superman in a collection. These days the Supermen of the world are still taking flight, with kids and lessons of morals passed on to another generation to be brought up in the likes of Clark Kent. Not to be out done, the Batman gets his hands wet in the fray by accomplishing similar attitudes and responsibilities!
Complete with a back cover picture of the time I mainly collected Superman, in Marvel Trading Card fashion as CGC grades those now! In the 90s it was the "New Style!" 4 & 3 & 2 & 1, What Up? When (Beastie Boys are on the mic) the suckers run! It is just nice to see a character that is still up to date, or holds up, and as Jim Lee gets to in-house signings, Lord Willing, people will remember! Jim worked mainly for Marvel and Image in the 90s, but he did DC Justice in the 2000's!
