Set Description:
Covers that L.B. Cole built!
The L.B. Cole Cover Editions! The breaks for artists and or the working man in comics is much different today than yesteryear. Built on the proverbial shoulders of those who took their talent seriously and for something as forthcoming as funny books, or so it seemed among their peers. It takes in the breathing room among newsstands, wares, and all-around peoples and cultures of roots, in all places and kinds, not formerly known but with what wells we ourselves sprang from, towards, and the ambitions we can still instill within our motives today of comics, comics, comics!
I imagine also the expression of music during these times and age, where the freedom was openly seen for what it was, and the progression towards what today seems indulgent still among the histories of writers, artists, and believers of storytelling.
L.B. Cole! Those covers that span a generation over, which is now considered a golden age, but not without hard times and the continuum of sequential art by illustrators of comics, comics, comics. By using the ephemera at the time to illustrate and paint a bigger picture, that in turn brought in kids to adults. Reading and conversing over common themes, it was meant as some aspirations but took these comics to new heights with culture among the backdrop of society. Patriotism is within each his own, of America, the pursuit of happiness, and the common hopes among peoples of character to instill those toward the future as a common goal. We can look back to ascertain, but in the trenches of selling the American Dream we must always be sincere for the cause that instills freedom. Remembering it isn't free and call to mind those things with which supported our prosperity in our individual lives while illustrating it in nostalgia, decency and loving are neighbor as ourselves.

L.B. Cole cover. Centerfold missing, affects story. INCOMPLETE. Some light reading of the cover shows with what seriousness this medium once stood for, and the subject material, too, that somehow progressed into what we have today. If meant to be a continuing saga, then what does it call to mind between the pages, books, volumes, and onto ages? It can be seen far back as work and has progressed among the newspaper clippings of history. The efforts these legacy holders showed for a cohesive story and wording, in order to publish art or illustration for newsstands and the like. L.B. Cole being a principal example and noteworthy among the "Love of the Hobby!" I got this as a freebie in a boards raffle one year, it was given in humor but shows that it can still be chosen as a prize among those who wouldn't see them for sale as easily. Me especially, who was just as new, but shows the nurturing for collecting, the same as others who esteem older comics for what they are, pieces of work!
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released publicly in theaters of, "Love Hurts!" A call back to any moral in comic, that "Just when I think I'm out, they bring me back in!" Such is life and C'est la vie, that once considering interest in a hobby or line of work, it will take being called back to it when needed trusting the muscle memory to create quality and efficient productivity as a baseline of life in general and no matter the hiatus.
Grader Notes:
missing centerfold affects story;
multiple stain cover;
very small, multiple tear top of front cover.
