Set Description:
Hughes Cover. With a bat-crazy girl of fun, you might not want to cross the street or walk, alone. It may take some therapy; this eventual hero is in transition of mental stability. Indeed, not a surprise face from Hughes, but a grin? A creepy grin! It will take the will power to not run in fright! Will Harley get the "solutions" that are all mixed up, sorted? Well, she is her own doctor, and seemingly has written her own prescriptions. Time and Patience, it is like milk, does a body good.
People's issues are not to be mucked with, especially characters of the not so innocent type, we've all been bent around an axle at some point! HAHA. Make sure to laugh and learn.

Why are you doing it weird? It isn't a thesis statement, but Harley Quinn lives out her doctorate any way but has come to terms that making herself "smart" just made her think more. Life is like that, sometimes, and becomes fuel to the fire. It all circles her thoughts as word bubbles and brings around some interesting reads with art that speaks for Harley and her rehabilitation. She just needs some peace and quiet, that'll take the gas out of the tank. Joker has been a whisper in the wind too long, and it'll take solitude to bring the edge of the cliff for her into view and awareness. It was all too close in the past, and in the end, she now has the need and will to put it further away and become planted on solid ground. She became her own teacher and is learning that her own tutelage is playing out when she sees it in others. She had side stepped morale for so long, so the beatings continued, as the meme used to say, but she considered there to be more to accomplish than the will of another. Now realizing she is responsible too and more focused on what is "in control" and what is beyond it, she may find a truer comparison between the good and the right; keep on the firing line!

(2014) Ongoing, "New 52!" There are variants, but this is the regular cover, by comparison of what was on the rack for purchase! Even at 9.0 and for $22, I'll take it! Indeed, Amanda Connor has some nice art! It's not quite as "different" as a Peach Momoko, which was available when I purchased this, but I DO like Amanda Connor. She is akin to Terry Dodson for me, and Amanda's early work takes some getting accustomed too. She has done, seemingly, plenty of Harley Quinn, which is fun to look out for her known work. All that "new" artist blood at the time made for a good series, the "Quinn" books are abundant, and I'm glad to have got back into collecting in 2014. It slowly worked its way from there into my heart again, and seeing this on the stands at the time did NOT detour me from now being established, somewhat, with the collecting bug! It'll get your motor running and back out on the highway.
Complete with a back cover pic of fond memories of "GameStop Midnight Game Releases!" Because that is where I picked up issue #29 of this series, and it's 2 copies of the GameStop exclusive variant. Sometimes at those releases you had to cop a squat to read or find something to pass the time. Memories!
Grader Notes:
small bend bottom of front cover;
small scuff right center of front cover;
small, light, multiple indent center of front cover;
spine stress lines.

Hughes Cover. Sheeeeee's Johnny! Finally, an Adam Hughes cover where the woman is not in "surprise face!" Harley Quinn seems to know right where she is and what is normal in the "padded" room! This cover does NOT remind me of my Junior High Girlfriend, but it does remind me of the way I felt about the Girlfriend at that time. Sometimes it's best to expect the unexpected. This cover is a little "off" in my opinion, like something is not quite right, which kind of works for what it represents. Sometimes we're delivered lemons and the best we can do is serve tequila! I don't believe it was pressed upon submission, but I am not the original submitter though. That book is hardly ever available in the "wild" and especially in person, depending on what area of availability is discussed. Local Comic Shops maybe, at Comic Con probably somewhere, otherwise only online.
Complete with the Harley Quinn Arkham Knight GameStop paperweight statue, as the back cover picture. I bought this early on when getting back into collecting in 2016. I still have the box, although it is smaller in stature for a statue, it still has some finer tuned details! I have a lot of the boxes for my statues, a closet full, even the Sideshow ones, and those are huge! This cost $60 and is of a game that was popular, that came out before the Suicide Squad film.
Grader Notes;
light spine stress lines to cover.
